An Overview Of Ebay Security

Ebay Security
On eBay, the payment exchange is left up to the buyer and seller. Whenever possible, use a credit card, because it protects you from losing your money outright. If for any reason you don't get the item, or it arrives broken or in a condition other than promised, you then have the credit card company on your side.

Don't jump in too fast. Take time to browse through lots of comparable items, to get a sense of what's out there.

Age Discrimination......&.......the U.S. Government

age | discrimination | federal | jobs | old age | pension | retirement | security | social | taxation

As slim as the job market is, wouldn't it be nice if some of us who are amongst the working middle class could qualify to work in a federal agency? But alas....I'm too old.....I'm well past 37 and so the government considers me unemployable. I have been told it has something to do with the federal retirement plan....why does the governemt have a less restrictive plan than say any free enterprise business? They can't discriminate because of my age.....so why can Uncle Sam?

A Humble Apology

airports | liquid bomb | Marketplace | noise pollution | O Ceallaigh's Observations | security | terrorism

I owe an apology to the good citizens of Bath, Maine, for my violation of city ordinances regarding noise pollution.

You see, yesterday, 11 August 2006, I was driving through town on my way to join the Bath Municipal Band for an outdoor concert. The Bath Municipal Band, bless their hearts, is not going to win any Grammy awards anytime soon. It's a community band, after all. Hardly a pro outfit. But that's not the noise pollution for which I need to apologize. Even though my own playing, which is never what I want it to be, was even further off the mark than usual.

LIBERTY SECURITY ANALYSIS1

security

CRAVING FOR SECURITY

Some countries have enacted draconian statutes to safeguard against global terrorism. The provisions of the protective legislation sometimes allows Government Officials to peep through the privacy of citizens, to arrest citizens without warrants, exempt the police from producing the arrested persons in a court of law.

One critic questioned, quoting Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would sacrifice Liberty for Security deserve neither.

There are numerous instances in history of rulers of countries in search of security entering into ignominous agreements with parties which promised security. The rulers paid huge price in terms of both money and obligations to satisfy the conditions imposed by the protectors.

The best example of people losing liberty in exchange for a promise of security, can be seen in RELIGION. People surrender themselves to the priests and the relgious authorities and undertake numerous obligations, just to get a safe place in heaven.

Billioneers spending a part of their treasure for creating TRUSTS OF CHARITY, when they have entered the phase of Sunset in their lives may also fall under this category. Strange that they spend all their lives in working out cunning plans and cause suffering to millions of people, with the sole object of making millions. At the fag end, abruptly they find that there is a need for security after death.

What Does Big Brother See When He Looks At You?

government spying | internet access to files | privacy | security

How secure is "internet security"? I am talking about the kind of security or insecurity that might allow the government access to our files...email files, search files, and yes, even our blogging files.

The debate is heating up, and Google seems to have taken a stand...for now. But what happens next, and when...and how will it end?

Let's say, for instance, that you type in "Cuban cigars" or "tax shelter" or "getting out of a traffic ticket." Or, what about some of the unsavory comments that we read on here about the government and the President? There is a government agency somewhere that is interested in these things...to be sure.
