Living in Oregon, I’ve had plenty of chances to visit Seattle, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Especially at night.

This fall, beginning on November 13, visitors to the area will have a chance to see a new Mohai exhibit, Essential Seattle, which chronicles more than 150 years of the area’s history.

The exhibit will have a variety of mediums including films, oral presentations, artifacts, and photos. On various dates, a series of lectures will be held to give regular residents, as well as visitors, a look at the major events and people that have been instrumental in shaping Seattle’s development up until the present time.

My husband just had his yearly company dinner up in Seattle/Bellevue this past weekend, and even though we couldn't for the life of us find a sitter that could stay with our son overnight while we were gone, he wanted the company, so we packed up our son and his million accoutrements and headed up North.

The company my husband works for provides mileage and a free hotel stay for those employees that don't live in the Seattle area....and this year they chose to host the dinner and our guestrooms at the Bellevue Westin. And even though I didn't get to go to the dinner with my husband, I am so glad that I came along for the ride!
