The rapper 50 Cent is suing Taco Bell because he says that the restaurant has used his name without his permission in their advertising that asks him to call himself 99 Cent. In a federal lawsuit, he also claimed that the Taco Bell print ad features him asking to change his name to 79 Cent, 89 Cent, or 99 Cent. The ad is part of a Taco Bell "Why Pay More?" campaign that promotes items that cost less than a dollar.

Stupid Parents Award #2- The Straw
Submitted by allie on April 16, 2007 - 11:08am. can | restaurant | shamanic mask | StupiditySassys was telling me about a little girl that was recently visiting the restaurant where she works. This little girl was running around, playing with a straw. This wasn’t an ordinary straw like you find at McDonald’s. Nope, the straws where Sassys works are massive.
I’m not exaggerating when I say this straws are huge. They are about twice the length of your average straw, and quite a bit wider as well.
I Caught Sassys!

Yes, it's true folks. For those of you who have ever wondered what the face behind the name is, here you go.

Sassys works at a great restaurant about a mile away from one of my friends. Today, my friend and I had lunch at that restaurant, and Sassys took great care of us!

The Drive East. Part 7: Heartland, the Pride of America.
Submitted by o ceallaigh on August 28, 2006 - 5:11am. hospitality | Indiana | O Ceallaigh's Observations | Ohio | Racism | restaurant | The Drive East | travelThe decision to bypass Chicago had been a good one. Instead of the tolls, rough roads, and traffic jams of the hog butcher of the world, the car had clear sailing as it hummed (not roared, at least not yet; the hole in the exhaust system’s midpipe would not open up until the next day) through the centers of Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.
It was also territory that was known to me. Especially this part of Ohio. For, while the rest of the trip to this point had been mostly place after place that I was “just passing through", I had lived four years in Columbus. It would be good to see some old familiar sights, even if the schedule I was on demanded that I merely wave to them from an 80-mph distance.
Just A Cup Of Decaf...Please!
Submitted by Jeanne Gibson on April 4, 2006 - 5:53pm. Coffee | decaf | fast food | restaurant | Wendy'sI don't ask for much in life.
Sometimes I think that Wendy's has some kind of personal vendetta against me.
I'm a reasonably nice person; I pay my bills, I am polite when I make a request. Why then, does my local Wendy's refuse to sell me a cup of decaf coffee?
It started about a year and a half ago when I went in for my usual baked potato, a small frosty, and a cup of decaf. All three items were listed plainly on the huge menu behind the counter, and I had placed the same order many times before with no problems.
Do You Know What Today is

Ladies today is a day for our men, valentines day is for us and steak and sex night is for the men. They have been complaining for years how valentines day is for the ladies and not for the men, now they have a day. It falls on March 14, what you do is send your kids to bed early, put on your sexiest outfit, cook him a steak, and serve it to him with a glass of wine.
Klong - the Thai restaurant
Submitted by alainedances on March 6, 2006 - 1:19pm. dinner | new york city | restaurant | thai foodWe had Thai food at Klong last night for dinner. The prices were reasonable and the portions were decent sized. We ordered the grilled squid legs, green curry puff, pad thai, and mint fried rice. The grilled squid legs were actually tasty, I am not a big fan of squid so my boyfriend ate most of them. It came with a garlic spicy sauce and I used that as a dipping sauce for my curry puffs. The curry puffs were filled with potato and chicken, although I would've liked to have the puffs come with its own dipping sauce and perhaps not just three of them but four puffs.
The Return of Chocolate Lasagna

It was just a few short weeks ago when I wrote to you all and told you that Chocolate Lasagna had been banished indefinintely from the Olive Garden Menu. My waiter swore this!
Well just tonite, right before American Idol (Ironically the TV show that always accompanied my Chocolate Lasagna takeout) my georgeous greek friend Jon called. Jon is a handsome man, an old grade school buddy whom I reconnected with in college. Like myself, Jon is a Delawarean! Well, Jon had just finished taken the Bar exam today (cross your fingers for him) and went to celebrate! Jon is currently living in Buffalo, where they have already seen feet and feet of snow! Nonetheless the phone rings and our exchange went as such:

And you think your day is going bad…
I used to work at Ruby Tuesdays. Let me tell you, I have never worked anywhere like this. I had some of the most bizarre thing happen, some are almost comical, others are plain awful. Here they are in random order:
1. A lady asked if she was allowed to sit and eat at the salad bar.
2. A group of teenagers came in, sit down to eat. They ordered then one of them went to the bathroom. A few minutes later he came out. Suddenly the fire alarm went off. Apparently the kid had set a fire in the middle of the bathroom floor for no reason. Now, just out of curiosity, wouldn’t you (if you were actually going to do an idiotic thing like this) set the fire AFTER you ate?

Just thought this would be of interest to people living in the NYC area, or those thinking of visiting New York. Let's say you wanted to dine out on a special occasion, like a anniversary, birthday, and the like. Or maybe you want to impress a client and wanted to take him to a high end restaurant. So you're thinking, "Wonder how much it would cost? And what entrees do they serve? Do they have vegetarian options?".
