Sure, these may not be the most financially secure days of my life. Sure, it may seem like the bills coming in far outweigh the checks I receive for short stories or articles sent out to various magazines. But you know, making the rent isn’t everything in life. Sure, getting enough rent to afford your own place to live is important, but there’s no way it counts for everything. What really matters is whether or not you are spending your days doing what you want to do.

I saw signs of an eviction in a nearby apartment a few days ago. I didn't see the actual eviction take place, but I did see all their property in front of the building. It gradually disappeared over a period of about 4 or 5 days. At first there were some potentially valuable items...including a television and some other unknown electrical equipment and some furniture.
I might finally be able to rent out my building.

And because the building has been sitting empty for so long, I am probably going to list it later today.
With any other renter, they always want to know whether we pay for part of their build-out, which means that we pay to convert it to suit their needs.
Taking Chances

I found out that I was scared as hell to take chances on new movies. This made me realize how easy it is to pass up wonderful opportunities. Like I said in my previous entry,
“This can be applied to your love life as well as financial life. If you expect to make a profit or gain any revenue [or] gain a long lasting relationship, you have to take chances.
TRAVEL: Cheap Airfare: Are the SAVINGS worth it?

TRAVEL: Cheap Airfare: Are the SAVINGS worth it?
Before you jump onto a discounted flight you need to do a little research. Not to say that all discount flights are bad, but I fell into this trap only once, but twice!
My first time getting a discount fight package was in May of 2003. I wanted to suprise my husband with our first vacation. I chose Las Vegas (Yippie!). I went to all those site - expedia, discount travel, cheap tix, etc. I finally realized that it was honestly cheaper to do some leg work and get the package myself. If you go to the Spirit airlines web site (spiritair.com) you can find some great deals. There is a section titled Syber Specials that are only available to internet users. You may or may not find what you are looking for here, but I can promise that the deals are truly incredible. Some of the flights are red eyes, some you may have to change planes two or more times, but you will save!
