WOOT!!! 3 for 3 baby!

fashion | Jeffrey Sebalia | Project Runway | winner

Did I call it or what?!? Jeffrey wins, and I am so pleased. He really deserved it, because his collection was so beautiful.

Beyond that, I feel like my own butt is in the sling because I told everyone about the contest. I mean, I'd better be able to pick the winner, eh? lol So it's a little bit of relief to find out I'm not talking out my butt.

And BTW, as a special note to Nina Garcia- I'd really like a job at your magazine. I've proven I know fashion. I picked Jay when everyone said Kara Saun. I picked Chloe when everyone said Daniel. I picked Jeffrey when everyone said Uli or Michael. You get in touch with me, and I'll send along those writing samples that prove I can actually string a few words together, kay? Love ya, mean it. *insert air kiss here*

Project Runway - Someone Slap Jeffrey

design | entertainment | fashion | manodogs | Project Runway | reality | TV

I've been watching Project Runway since the first season, and every year, there has been at least one designer that was a little bit of a jerk. Some of them have been worse than others -- more in-your-face, more passive-aggressive, more conniving, however they managed it -- but for the largest part, they were just annoying or entertaining because their behavior was so extreme as to be cartoonish.

But I have never seen one as overtly revolting -- I mean downright repulsive -- as Jeffrey.

Project Runway- how good am I?

fashion | models | Project Runway | show | television | TV

Is it just me, or is this show going very slowly? It feels like it's been on forever. Let me explain why I think this is happening, then get on to future predicitions, a look back at the past, and a phone call from Chloe!!

I think this season is taking forever because we all realize that Michael is going to win. I mean, seriously, the guy has never sent anything bad down the runway. And that's not necessarily a compliment, so let me turn it into one. Everything he has sent down the runway has been GORGEOUS!! The coffee filter dress was stunning. The Pam Grier hot pants were so hot that I want a pair, the whole time knowing that seeing myself in a pair of hot pants might be enough to send me to the loony bin. His clothes are hot, and they are innovative. This dude is going to rock the fashion world if he wants to. When you already know who the winner is and you are just waiting around to be proven correct, it feels like it's taking a long time.

Project Runway Three- First Episode

designers | fashion | models | Project Runway

First, I love the redesign of Bravo's website. It's more streamlined and less clunky than last year. I thought for a long time that they weren't going to do the contest again, but it finally went up.

The first episode is always the hardest. You have to decide who is the worst, and who is the best, without seeing a single thing they've created. Furthermore, you only have to pick which is the worst for that episode and which is the best. All of their work tends to go downhill in the later episodes, but whose starts there??

Project Runway Three- Don't trip over the spoilers on your way in.

Bravo | designers | fashion | Heidi Klum | models | Project Runway | Tim Gunn

It's almost Project Runway time!!! Today, as I was surfing by the website, I noticed that they had changed the page to reflect the new designers. So, without further ado, we'll get right into the spoilers and talk about the designers and models.

Vincent- he's a Parson's grad, and I am truly impressed with their graduates. He is older than most in the competition, but he looks cool. In his photos, he looked like he could be a tattoo artist, and he was wearing an awesome silver shirt in one pic.

Project Runway- and a surprise revelation!

contest | designers | fashion | Heidi Klum | models | Project Runway | television

I love the show Project Runway. For those who don't know, it is a show where aspiring fashion designers compete to win $100,000 to start their own clothing line. They also receive publicity in the form of magazine spreads, and tv appearances.

Most people watch reality shows for the drama. I watch this one for the inspiration. My first three jobs were at two different fabric stores, and I made some clothes that hung in the stores. I have always loved fashion, even though I am not your typical fashionista. I have read a fashion magazine only once in my life. I cannot tell you the intricacies of a Valentino vs. a Chanel. I cannot look at a gown and tell you what designer it looks like. BUT- I know my fashion. I began making a skirt six months ago. It is a light teal color, and has endless ruffles. Since I began making it, I have seen one on Kathy Griffin, one on the back of a home improvement magazine, and one on a Barbie doll. If I had just sewn it more quickly, I would have been the first person to ever display that design anywhere. I knew that ponchos were coming back, I saw the coming of the hobo bag, and I knew that shirtdresses were going to be HOT. I am a fashion crystal ball.
