Okay, I have ads for this next website all over my Myspace profile, not because I’ve been spammed like so many others on myspace but because I put them there and I believe in the product. Check out Instrumentmaster.com if you would like to learn to play any popular instrument without paying for weekly lessons. Not to discredit the professional teachers out there: I am a teacher myself and so is my mother, and there is a lot of merit in having private lessons… but for some people, private music lessons just aren’t a reality.

The Sarbanes Oxley, passed by both Houses in 2002 is bound to have a profound impact on the VC community in the U.S.

Put simply, the act imposes many stringent regulations on companies that wish to file for a public offering(IPO). For VC's this means that far fewer of their portfolio companies will go public, and an acquisition by a bigger company is the most viable 'exit'. These acquisitions typically do not fetch as much as a firm going public, and hence VC's find it harder to earn returns manadated by their LP'S.
