Republicans Know They Have Nothing

democrats | Obama | president

It’s painfully obvious that the Republicans know they have a losing candidate with a losing platform. They’ve nominated a candidate who has consistently aligned himself with the policies of a President that 82% of all Americans - not just Democrats, all Americans - are dissatisfied with, and the Republicans know they have made a drastic mistake.

Obama, Black US President; " A puppet"

black | Obama | president | Puppet

I am not a racist and I love everybody. As a child of God I subscribe to the fact that we must love one and other. I believe racial discrimination is diabolic and I do not entertain it whether against or for black or white, yellow or brown.

Dr. Michael DeBakey, the famous cardiovascular surgeon that pioneered the bypass surgery and inventor of many devices to help people with heart problems, has died at the age of 99 from natural causes at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX. In 1932, while he was still in medical school, he invented the roller pump, which later became the most important part of the heart-lung machine. The machine takes over the responsibilities of the heart and lungs during surgery. He was also the pioneer in the development of artificial hearts and heart pumps to help people waiting for transplants. He had helped to create more than 70 surgical instruments in his lifetime.

Who is Ron Paul?

campaign | congress | president | Republican | Ron Paul | vote

Lately there has been a huge buzz about Ron Paul. If you're like me, you may not know a whole lot about this up and coming congressman in the presidential race.

Ron Paul was born August 20, 1935. He is a Republican and United States Congressman from Lake Jackson, Texas, a physician, and a 2008 U.S. presidential candidate. He has represented Texas's 14th Congressional district (1997–present) and its 22nd district (1976–1977 and 1979–1985) in the U.S. House of Representatives. Paul placed a distant third in the 1988 presidential election, running as the Libertarian nominee while remaining a registered Republican. After his 1961 graduation from Duke University School of Medicine and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, he became a U.S. Air Force flight surgeon, serving outside the Vietnam War zone.

President Bush Prank Calling?

FORMER PRESIDENT BUSH PRANK CALLING?

-Former President Bush (That's President Bush's father) feels he's been completely vindicated for not going into Iraq in the first Gulf War since the current war has been a complete disaster. Apparently, Bush 41 has been personally prank calling all the Pundits, Politicians, Generals, Military Strategists, etc. who said he was wrong and hanging up. Bush 41 is saying something like, "It looks like President Bush's father wasn't such an idiot after all. It looks like he's a real genius for not going into Iraq huh". Then, he hangs up.

I KNEW IT!!

Iowa | president | Vilsack

I said several years ago that the best chance for 2008 Democratic President would come from a ticket that had a proven governor from the midwest as Pres., and a relative newbie from the southeast as VP. And today, Tom Vilsack, who is soon stepping down as Governor of Iowa, announced his candidacy.

Here's why I made this prediction, and why I'm sticking by it for now. Capture these two areas, and you can capture the hearts of enough moderate Republicans to have it. Hillary is too divisive. John Edwards still has the stink of Kerry. Kerry is not someone that people really wanted to vote for; they just wanted to vote against Bush. Obama is still too fresh on the scene, and I think he'd do better by waiting until 2012.

Funny | humour | Iraq | president

Donald Rumsfeld (Defence Secretary) briefed President Bush this morning.

He told Bush that 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed in Iraq.
All of the colour ran from Bush's face. He collapsed onto his desk, head in hands, visibly shaken, almost whimpering. Finally, he composed himself and asked,
Rumsfeld, "Exactly how many is a brazillion?"

According to SC, Oprah actually could pull in tons of votes because she is so popular. People really do trust her and she has so much control of the media.

Don't you love how our Government works?

AK | Army | Draft | drink | government | president

Don't you love how our Government works? They can screw us over in a heartbeat, yet we are supposed to blindly follow them no matter what happens. Then, if we don't, we're considered "Unpatriotic". After registering for the draft i was wondering and thinking about all of the different priveleges that came with turning 18.

To start out, I am now allowed to smoke (which I wouldn't do anyways), I am allowed to look at porn and go to strip clubs (also wouldn't do in fear of my girlfriend lol), allowed to gamble (love it), and am allowed to go to join the military.

Oh, sweet buckets of chicken wings! Is this guy delusional, or what?

approval rating | bush | Jeb Bush | president

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12721154/

For those who can't be bothered to go to the link, let me give you the headline to sum it up. "Bush: Brother Jeb would be ‘great president’."

Is this the height of delusional thinking? Does GWB think the American people love him? Want to change laws to let him seek a third term? Marry him? Have little delusional babies with him??

Let's say for a minute that Jeb Bush is really that good. He's got several things working against him right now. For starters, people weren't fond enough of his daddy to vote him back into office. The same is probably true of his brother, but let's not get into that particular conspiracy theory. Second, right now, getting an approval from GWB is kinda like french kissing a rat with a noose tied around your neck during the height of the black plague after declaring yourself to be a witch. Third, a Bush dynasty? What? Are they going to go into the vase business or get a method of tie tying named for them?? Oh god, it'll be baseball bats, I know it. One can only hope that it's a type of pretzel. ;) Fourth, what if he said this around , oh, say- 4 years ago? It might have been better received. Fifth, do we want a leader of a major world power being named Jeb, for corn sake?? Just elect someone named Cletus Billy Bob Wayne and be done with it. Finally, the number one reason- Karl Rove didn't weigh in, so the Prez must not have really said it at all.
