I must tell you that being a girl in Texas growing up, I loved my cowboys. I began watching in the Roger Staubach era, not really understanding the game. All I know is my family, mostly uncles and some cousins would root them on and so did I.

Being an adult woman in North Texas, I still have a deep love for the Dallas Cowboys. I may have not like the coaches or the Owner sometimes, but deep in my heart I always, always loved the boys... I must admit I could have been described as a fair weather fan sometimes too. Meaning if they were doing good I was rooting for them, if not well, you know I didn't.

I know how hard it can be to get that portfolio looking polished. Right now, I'm working hard on mine, and trying to break into the world of freelance writing and editing. You can usually work online, and it pays quite well actually. The best part is, every project you complete not only pays well, but also gives you that much more for your portfolio!

I'm pretty excited. My boyfriend and I are currently building a house, and it's going to be out in the country, which limits my opportunities to work. This is right up my alley!

Any investment advisor will tell you that one should diversify one's investment portfolio. But what exactly does this mean?.

An example: say you have $100 to invest and you are considering two stocks - an oil company and an airline firm. If you put all your money on the oil stock, then you will loose a lot of money if the price of crude oil falls. On the other hand, if the price of oil goes up, the airline stock will fall as it's energy costs rise. If however, you put $50 in each the paper value of your portfolio will fluctuate much lesser with variations in the price of crude oil.
