Sure, these may not be the most financially secure days of my life. Sure, it may seem like the bills coming in far outweigh the checks I receive for short stories or articles sent out to various magazines. But you know, making the rent isn’t everything in life. Sure, getting enough rent to afford your own place to live is important, but there’s no way it counts for everything. What really matters is whether or not you are spending your days doing what you want to do.

Submitted by kingskid7 on June 8, 2007 - 11:41am. animal training | Bill Gates | breads | pet collar | poor | POVERTY | wealthI at times get nauseated when I think of all the money some individuals have. Take Mr. Bill Gates for example. The last time I heard he had amassed over $50 billion dollars. Why would anyone need so much money? It just doesn't make much sense to have a huge house with more rooms in it than he could possibly manage. And to top it off, when he dies he won't take one penny of it with him. Why that means that $500 million dollars to him would be like 1 penny out of a single dollar. If all the money in the world was equally divided among all the people of the world, everyone would get $144,000 each!! Yet these rich fatcats are living high off the hog while the rest of us are languishing in utter poverty! Yes I know Bill and other extremely wealthy persons are supposedly giving to various charities and causes some of which are just a waste of money that could help some very needy people but I now challenge any wealthy people out there who reads this post to have some serious soul searching and consider the foolish rich man in Luke 12:

Most people struggle with cholesterol and heart health because they do not understand the dynamics that cause heart problems, or result in a healthy heart. The mix is corrupted by the fact that age, diet, alcohol consumption, cigarette smoking, physical activity, and disease has a dynamic impact on the heart’s health.

I myself and my daughter went to plenty of those church dinners at the homeless shelters. so this is just no so correct. last year my gifts were all brought to NY. So I could have christmas with my mom. my daughter and I went to the soup kitchen where we use to eat. So that we could see people we had not seen in a year.

Are we stuck forever by our early circumstances? This is a tough question to answer. Certainly, nobody wants to be limited. And most people at least claim that they don't want to limit others potential. But let's not lie to one another. Did Jeffrey Dahmer really have much of a chance of growing up "normal?" Mental disease damned him before he had a real chance. Let's try someone who is more normal, and yet, more extraordinary. Take Bill Gates. Was there ever a chance that he wouldn't have done something amazing with his life? His VAST fortune has a lot of luck, but his personality is one that would inspire luck to strike him. It's like I often joke, "I'll but a new car when I win the lottery. Considering I don't play, it's going to be a while." Bill Gates personality is one that would make it impossible for him not to take risks and make great gains.
