So, how mighty is the laptop? What kind of power does it have in today's climate of the printed word and the world wide web?

Writers, it would seem, have a responsibility to the rest of the world. Why else would it have been said that the pen is mightier than the sword?

I've been thinking about this recently and deleting posts that I think I've written without really thinking what the words were saying to people about me but mostly about what goes on in our lives and in the world.

I have seen this being done very often by students. My son is my first example.

So what he does? He will highlight a paragraph of info from a web site, copy it in word,
hop onto the next site and so on. In this process he usually forget to copy the url from which he extracted the data.
