Are you proud of your nationality?

It is not very clear what does nationalism actually mean for an individual. Is it to love a particular nation and to hate a particular nation or nations? When someone loves a particular nation, he has to love to hate all other nations en bloc. Love is such a blind thing! So you love your nation and hate mine. Is this a good proposition to propose one thing to dispose the other? The power-that-be has always parroted the idea of nationalism in close relation to patriotism this way or that way. This is a knee-jerking idea they cherish throughout their career of statesmanship. This is truly crafty enough to condone their every feat and features of evil designs.

Corporal Daniel Smith, who is 21, is alleged to have raped a Filipina girl by some name of "Nicole".He's in jail. Frankly, she wasn't rape and thus, poor Dan Smith ROTS in a rather crummy jail- not for a crime- but for stupidity.

I feel anger at "nicole" and her kind of ilk for the liar and bitch that she is. I feel angst for Dan because his fault was that he picked p a "pick up girl" who are supposedly supposed to be "picked up" in the first place. It was not merely a case of "she was asking for IT", she was THERE admittedly drunk during the most nocturnal hour and she did voluntarily go inside the vehicle of four American strangers. She didn't know ANY of them.

Kids from several high schools locally staged their own immigration marches today. At my school, at least as far as I can tell, not a single kid was an illegal alien.

But they all did confess to knowing many close friends and relatives who would be swept into the deportation dragnet if this particular federal law is passed.

Now to the Senate's credit, they slipped in a clause that would help long-time resident aliens (undocumented) gain permanent resident status.

But today, in a nearby town, many of the marchers carried Mexican national flags. What does Mexican nationalism have to do with U.S. immigration policy? I'm sorry to say this, but if the Mexican American population loves Mexico, then they should take their talents and energies and rejuvenate that country instead of browbeating us.

Kids at my high school marched during school hours, fourth period to be exact. They will draw a fairly severe penalty for doing so. In the nearby town, they all waited until school let out, and local police escorted the marchers in a good show of community cooperation and support.
