Mother | pre-eclampsia | pregnancy | symptoms | treatment | vitaminMoms-to-be who have low vitamin D levels during pregnancy appear to be at increased risk for suffering from pre-eclampsia,according to a study.Pre-eclampsia is a condition of pregnancy that usually begins with high blood pressure. The disorder may also lead to seizures, kidney failure or stroke. It slows the growth of the fetus, can cause early delivery, and can be fatal for the mother and the infant. The cause is unknown and there is no treatment, except to manage the symptoms. In the new study,"women who developed pre-eclampsia had vitamin D concentrations that were significantly lower early in pregnancy compared to women whose pregnancies were normal," doctors from the University of Pittsburgh, said in a statement.
Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child : A Monologue
Submitted by Kayzzaman on August 5, 2007 - 9:10am. Borderless Frontiers | darkness | Mother | Motherless Child | NATURE | Sparkling FireSometimes I feel like a motherless child as if my mother has gone on a voyage to a no-man's land where light is ignited by darkness and darkness is extinguished by the glow of sparkling fire, burning and not burning out of miasma gushing profusely days in and days out, as if somebody has lost way in quest of eternal life, a life incessantly being born and reborn out of nothing... a life very much sough- after even it is beyond the reach of human possibility and impossibility... a life cutting across all barriers of situational impediments that come in the way of existence and non-existence facing the entire reality all the way to impermanence and that reality in actuality is virtual reality situated in a virtual world far above and far beyond the actual world in reality...

GOD REPLIED, THAT’S MOTHER TERESSA’S CLOCK AND THE HANDS OF THAT CLOCK HAVE NEVER BEEN MOVED INDICATING THAT SHE NEVER TOLD A LIE.
Dateline show stopper....
Submitted by writingdreams on July 13, 2006 - 9:42am. adoption | dateline show | fraud | Mother | pregancy | Pregnant | surrogateOkay the other night I saw a Dateline special, I actually viewed it from
The story is about a group of families that have tried adopting because they just can't have a child. But the bad news is there is a surrogate that claims she'll let them have her baby, takes all their money and they never hear from her again.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13301137/
The cold-hearted lady goes by the name Amy, errr Christy...well truth is no one really knows. But she finds her victims by looking up people that are trying to find a surrogate. This is just sooo wrong on so many levels.

F A M I L Y
I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
"Oh excuse me please" was my reply.
He said, "Please excuse me too;
I wasn't watching for you."
We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said goodbye.
What you are may be MORE than Genes
Submitted by bugsey on May 15, 2006 - 10:54am. father | generational blessings | generational curses | grandmother | MotherI was listening to a friend this morning and we wondered why some dreams do come true and some just don't.I made me think that we shouldn't consider that our dreams will ever die, even when we are actually dying.Because dreams really never die. For instance, I am sure that my great grandmother who had a miserable life and who can't read an english sentence never thought that my grandmother would somehow manage to own a rather huge house because frankly, my great grandmother didn't have any home she could call her own. She was given a room by my generous grand aunt. But the same grand aunt gave me everything---plus--- the best education that money could buy, so HAD it not been for my great grandmother's humility and spirit of self-sacrifice, I would probably not be capable of typing here. Whe both my grandmother and grandaunt died, they "invested" in their own dreams, work and good deeds for me.

To say I do not work is ridiculous. Some people are under the impression that I sit on the couch, watching television and eating chocolates all day long. I wish!
Actually, I do have some job experience. Hands on so to speak. I am a cook, baker, housekeeper, accountant, taxi driver, seamstress, nurse, dog walker, babysitter, painter, plumber, interior decorator, gardener, mechanic, problem solver, tutor, and I clean windows too.
How a mother can sell her daughter in India?
Submitted by arvindkatoch1 on March 31, 2006 - 11:13am. DAUGHTER | MotherThis is a my try to present a true incidence in India.
I am rubina (name changed). I live in Orissa India. This is the one of poor state of India. Every year many people die here because of hunger. Last year many people die here because of consuming poisoned food. What we can do we have no option. We are going to die any way. We listened that India is progressing; people are becoming richer. Now world take the name of India with more respect. I am happy that we India are able to show our strength to the world.
My New Concealer and My Mother's Eyes
Submitted by Incognito on March 27, 2006 - 4:35pm. aging | Dallas | family | makeup | Mother | Sister | WomenEveryone who sees us together always says we looked alike and my mom always corrects them. "No, she really looks like her father. My other daughter looks a lot like me." It's true. There are pictures of my father in his twenties and the face looking out is mine. But I have her eyes. And with her eyes come the bags.
Then last week I discovered the MOST AMAZING CONCEALER. I'd heard about it but when celebrities say something is amazing...well really. I decided to let that scary commissioned makeup salesperson do her thing. It's a two step process and quite frankly, I don't use the color corrector and probably shouldn't have bought it but it was an amazing transformation. Suddenly I had the flat cheekbones I'd sought all my life. Bobby Brown Concealer is all it is reported to be.
