Is the Boss Watching?
Submitted by gom jabbar on April 15, 2006 - 9:21am. boss | employee | employer | internet | monitor | privacy | workHow much time do you spend engaged in "personal activities" at work? Does your boss know? He/she might. Common sense tells us that when we go to work, we are expected to work. However, company phone lines and computers with unlimited access to the Internet and those ridiculous games that are included as an integral part of the Windows operating system, it would take a strong person to "work" a full work day without engaging in some liesure activity. I've done some research out of concern for some of my own habits (I'm far from innocent in this regard), and this is what I discovered. While it may not surprise you, it may remind you to be more cautious at work.
