Soy yogurt is a healthier form of yogurt because it is made with soy milk from soy beans instead of cow’s milk. The natural compounds in the yogurt can help to control blood sugar levels by slowing down carbohydrate digestion. Also, the yogurts are usually all-natural, organic, and dairy free.

What Is With The Cost Of Milk--Is There A Shortage Of Cows?
Submitted by ammorton on July 20, 2007 - 2:58pm. cost | Dairy | expensive | milkWhy is milk so high priced lately? What is the deal? Seems as if when I drive around my part of the country, there are several dairy farms and the fields are full of dairy cows, so I am thinking there cant be a shortage of cows, so what is the reason for the price increase in milk?

Buying Organic cheaply by cutting out the middle man...
Submitted by madonnacramer on October 16, 2006 - 12:35pm. boggy creek | farms | frugal | fruits | healthy | hormone | meat | milk | organic | pesticide | produceI know we all have plenty of things to be concerned about and why just add our food to the list. But really there are plenty of fun and cheap things you can do to ensure the safety and quality of your food supply.
One thing that helps with the cost of organic and range-free foods is the local farmers market or your local organic farm. I think even if the produce is not organic if purchased by a local small establishment farmer such as those found at local farmer markets your food is fresher and definately not sprayed with chemicals or preservitives for shipping purposes.

The Urban Cowboy
Submitted by narwhaler on August 14, 2006 - 4:36pm. cowboy | ebay | lennon | milk | recordsI usually wake up around 9 in the morning to have plenty of time to open the store by 10. Today I woke up a bit early, so I figured I could use the extra time to work on some accounting stuff I had been putting off for the past few days. Even with the extra half hour, I still managed to be late. Not that it matters since it is usually dead (with the exception of the old ladies looking for the law offices two doors down from us) for about an hour or so when we first open the doors. Not seconds after I unlock the door, a familiar face is making his way across the street. I like to call him the urban cowboy. You would understand if you saw him. He is a stout man, that always wears a cowboy hat, tucked in t-shirt, a belt buckle the size of his head, blue jeans that are way too big, black boots, and spurs. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the bright red handlebar moustache and the beer gut the size of a small child. I swear this guy waits in his car outside the store everyday, and if there is ever a day that we open a few minutes late, we will hear about it.
Prank Your Sister -Its Great
Submitted by DivaJ on April 28, 2006 - 1:39pm. butt | milkI love to play pranks on my sister. The key to making them a success? Don't do them too often..I know its hard to do them in yearly increments..but its worth it. Today was a good one.
We were watching the Tyra Show (muffle yourself) and I said to her
"Marmy (Mummy) is in Brooklyn."
She said, "I know."
"Grandma is on her way home."
"I know."
"You've got milk down your butt."
"I...wait what?"
How To Make Oven Fried Chicken
Submitted by Vittoria on April 10, 2006 - 6:27pm. butter | chicken | eggs | margarine | milk | oven fried | saltine crackersThis is how to make oven fried chicken. The first thing you must do is melt 2 table spoons of butter or margarine in a small pot, then in a bowl add 1 egg, 3 tablespoons of milk and a pinch of salt, 1/8 teaspoon of pepper, mix it all together. In another bowl add 1 cup of bread crumbs or you can grind up saltine crackers, 1/2 a teaspoon of paprika, 1/2 a teaspoon of parsley and 1/2 a teaspoon of thyme. Then you rinse the chicken, pat it dry, then dip it in the egg then into the dry mix and then place it into a greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan, arrange chicken pieces so they don't touch. Drizzle chicken with the melted butter or margarine. Then bake in a 375 oven for 45 to 55 minutes or until chicken is tender and no longer pink. Do not turn chicken pieces while baking.
