Meditation
To pray is to think of God lovingly,to take to Him and to listen to Him.Prayer throws open a line of communication to heaven.
Mental prayer gives more importance to the activity of the mind and heart. It can take the form of meditation. The one who meditates ponders upon some religious truth to deepen his understanding of it,and considers its various aspects as a jeweller examines the facets of a diamond.

The role of meditation in essence is to assist you in maintaining your mind and body. The power of our mind is often overlooked in Western Society where as in other parts of the world like Asia, they recognize the power of the mind to assist in healing your body. This meditation is one that you can use to simply help heal you body. I should note that it is not a substitute for other medical assistance, but should be used in conjunction with traditional medicine.

As I have mentioned, there are thousand kinds of qigong in the China. Japanese Reiki is actually a kind of Tibetan qigong which inherited from the Indian cultivation method. These methods mainly focus on spinal strengthening. The whole spine acts like an energy centers; it is similar to Chakras practice in Western meditative methods. As a matter of fact, both systems originated from India.
Chinese people have rough concept about spiritual cultivation. Qigong is a hugh system for various knowledges that include visualization, hypnosis, martial art, wellness and deity etc.... This might be attributed to the fact that Chinese government is eager to promote new technique but trends to suppress spiritual activities.

buddhism | Health | Meditation | qigong | sharing | Taoism
The Qigong is from China, around 3000-5000 years old and there was no proper history of how it had emanated from. Simply speaking, it is very closely related to the Yin-Yang theory (the theory of Polarity), and Chinese universal concept. So, it is believed to be invented by ancient toaists. It was said that in the Sixth Century, a Buddhist monk from India, whose name was Bodhidarma or "Damo" the 28th patriarch of Mahayana Buddhism, bought along a meditative method called “Chan”. This added more ingredients in Chinese qigong. And, “Chan” is an important method in Buddhist qigong. Tibetan Buddhism owns unique meditative methods and it is quite close to Indian yoga meditation. It is highly appreciated by Chinese qigong masters. This brief history has built a fundamental basis of Chinese qigong system.
