Ok, recently Catfish and Sassy both asked me if I was actually letting my 4 year old watch scary movies. And, while I still stand by my answer ~ er, I was raised on horror movies and haven’t gone on even one killing spree! ~ it’s a subject that’s come up before. Those times, though, the question was asked with much less respect. More to the point, it was acted like I’d held her eyes open and forced her to watch porn or Pauly Shore movies!

I work at a convention center in Michigan. So I see a lot of different organizations that come in for the weekend…This last weekend we set up for a group who hunts and kills endangered species, stuffs them and puts them on display for people to see. I guess it must be legal however it was vary disgusting. They also were selling coats made of the furs of endangered animals. These people must think it’s 1807 instead on 2007.

November is Vegan month! (Among many other things.)

It's time to break out the soy milk and tofu treats! Sit down at the table to a nice piping hot toufurkey, yum yum. I personally think I'll be skipping the toufurkey this Thanksgiving, what can I say? I'm a traditional kind of girl.

Does anyone else find it odd that vegan month also happens to be a very popular hunting season? Around here you can't miss the boys, men, and nowadays even a few girls and women clad in camo, heading out to the woods in their mud covered jacked up trucks. "I'ma fixin' ta shoot me a buck!" Or just ride up the road and see a hand painted sign "Turkey Shoot: This Saturday!"
