A house will not be a home if it's a mess – emotionally, physically, financially, or in any other sense you can think of. We have received a card on our anniversary that says, “It’s love that makes a house a home.” Very true, if we remember that love is not just a warm fuzzy feeling but also a conscious effort.

A comedienne once said (I can't remember her name) that socks seems to disappear and yet wire clothes hangers seem to be a-sexual and multiply throughout your house.
I shamefully admit to having a laundry basket full of odd socks. I've admitted this to a few people in my life and everyone I have discussed this with has also admitted to having either a drawer, bag or basket somewhere full of odd socks.
