DISH Network will be the first satellite television provider to reach 100 high-definition channels in August. DISH Network has announced on Thursday that the satcaster will launch 17 high-definition channels on August 1 to reach 100 channels&lt;/p&gt;

Time Warner Cable also wanted to stay in the HD expansion as Dish Network, DirecTV and other operators are launching HD channels rapidly. Time Warner is planning to launch 12 new high-definition channels in Southern California area. The time of the launch is not  disclosed, but the cable operator is getting ready for the launch. The new HD channels expected to be launched in Southern California area are&lt;/p&gt;
