The affiliate product must mesh well with your niche. People joined your list because they are interested in the topic your site targets. Make sure all of the products you promote are related to that topic.
And most importantly, RECOMMEND the product to your subscribers, never sell them. Over time, your subscribers have come to trust you; your emails should detail why you recommend a product and how it has helped you (or how it can benefit them).
