The Chinese baby milk scandal has widened and now involves giant Swiss company, Nestle.

The death toll is still four and the number of ill children exceeds 40,000.

Twelve more people have been arrested and another seventy eight questioned in connection to the scandal.

Not long ago I mentioned Micronesians in a blog and I'm not sure why. It just seems to be one of those words that is lodged in my brain and, when I have a mental hiccup, it pops out to fill the empty space. I've often wondered if the people of Micronesia were diminutive in size, so, today, I did a little sleuthing to clear up the many rumors in my head surrounding this region.

1) In a fit of enthusiasm, desiring to awaken a schoolmate to engage in more drinking (it was only three in the morning), I punched my hand through his dorm room window, shattering it. I was unscathed but the other dorm inhabitants promptly labeled me loco (or the Chinese equivilant of "loco" as we were in Singapore).
