A police officer in Daytona Beach, Florida has been fired because of a cup of coffee. How is this possible you might ask. Well, apparently after a Starbucks coffee shop refused to serve Lt. Major Garvin with free coffee and wanted him to pay for it the officer replied to them that his response time may be a little slower should they have any situations there at the coffee house. Lt. Major Garvin told them that a two minute response time may turn into a fifteen minute response time.

I moved from Michigan to California last summer. I never thought I would miss the east (if you can call Michigan the east), but I do. I miss going to places like Outer Banks NC and enjoying the greenery that the east has to offer. Here, everything is brown and desert-like. It’s really kind of ugly. Of course, when I lived in Michigan, I thought the desert was going to be ideal.

Every now and then I post a work related blog as a tribute to those of us living, writing and blogging around a 9-to-5 work week. Obviously, while you are at work, you are expected to spend the majority of your time working, that is the work your employer expects you to do, not "working" on today's blog.
