Yes, simply because that is the nature of the moment and the age we live in. We cannot turn the clocks back to more 'sensible' times when information was controlled, and only certain people with questionable motives set the public agenda and decide appropriate behaviour for all. We are in new technologically dominating times and we have to get over it. The media revolution we are experiencing, especially with its easy access to instant news, makes concentration on public figures one of the more unpleasant side effects of our new age. But like anything else, media coverage is audience driven. If people did not want to hear a thing about Paris Hilton, if she had no fans or anyone interested in her, she would have faded as a distant memory a long time ago, just like many other famous figures who have long since come and gone.

I've seen several posts today about Brittney Spears, and I wanted to throw in my 2 cents.

I don't know if anyone ever watched their show (chaotic?), but I watched one episode and that was enough.

This kevin dude is such a loser. He already had 2 kids by a previous girlfriend. He has player wrote all over his forehead. He clearly just married her for the money, while she thought she was getting the love of her life. Now, they have 2 kids. So what's going to happen next? He will find someone else to hook up with and all four of his kids will be there for visitation. This man is going to end up having 10 kids by the time he's 40.

When I saw on tv that these two were getting a divorce, it was a total shocker to me. This couple was an awesome couple. They seemed happy together, and it wasn't like their marriage was in the tabloids every week like Brittney Spears or Jessica Simpson.

Reese was pretty young when she got married by hollywood standards. She has 2 beautiful children. She is so little herself she almost seems like a child. I love her roles. She did an excellent performance in Walk the Line.
