So, what did you think of the season premier episode?
It was good to have the gang back. They were away for way too long.

My only initial complaint was too damned many commercials. In the second half of the show, it seemed like one section of the episode was only on for three minutes, then they went to commercial again!

Happy T-Day everyone!

Tomorrow, Sci-Fi will have an all-day marathon of their hit new series, Eureka. Reviewed and discussed here previously, regular readers (those what are "in" -- the cool kids) know that most things Eurekan are handled over to the other half of this blog, but the reviews and most of the basic coverage is here on the celebrity entertainment portion of our blatherings. Links to all things Eurekan concerning this Turkey Day marathon can be found over there and if you haven't gotten into Eureka yet, now is definitely the time. Eureka is one of our favorite shows and will have its own fan section on the site when it is all settled.

You know I'm all into sci-fi and horror and that kinda stuff, and a lot of people have been comparing the new show, Eureka, to the X-Files. So it's been talked about a lot recently both in my own posts and others, as well as on the message boards.

They so are.

The weirdest thing is that, no matter how much a geek I am otherwise, I never really got into the Sci-Fi Channel until Ghost Hunters started a couple years back. Oh, I'd flip over and check it out if nothing else was on, or if it was a horror movie (they often show stuff like Fright Night, The Lost Boys, and so on), but as for their regular fare (Battlestar Galactica, Stargate, so on), it just never stroked my goat... er, whatever. Regardless, Sci-Fi was the Mystery Science Theater 3000 Channel and nothing more -- until they canceled that -- and then it became just "nothing more."
