Endangered Animals

I was having a conversation with my eight year old last night, and I don't know what got into me, but I just felt like playing the "devil's advocate" to see what she would say. It seems in elementary schools these days, children are being taught that we all need to help save endangered animals and we all need to change our habits in order to stop the "climate crisis." At face value, I tend to agree that we should be good conservators of what we have been given here on earth, but I am starting to feel a little offended at the assumption of some of these folks who demand that certain animals be saved and that the weather patterns we are seeing now are somehow something we need to intervene in.

My confession: I love animals. My sister is a huge animal activist who actually rescues animals from dangerous situations. She rehabilitates injured strays too. She’s had every pet you can think of, from snakes to bats to squirrels. Anyway, I did something really bad, and I am exposing myself for who I really am to my blogger friends.

I was driving to work one night and there wasn’t any street lights. When Suddenly, I felt my SUV go THUD! I knew I hit something. I figured it was probably a parked object because my driving record isn’t that great. I have never been in a “real� accident, but I have hit about 15 garbage cans, 10 mailboxes, 3 Curbs and went over a median at a doctors office. I go through tires like James Champion goes through a bucket of Hot Wings.
