Jimmy Carter

By GERALD CARROLL

First up, the worst president in living memory, Jimmy Carter, who in 1976-80 did so much damage to US relationships with Iran that it threatens a nuclear holocaust today. Next, the nearly brain-dead Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass., who is battling cancer. Throw in Barack Obama’s wife Michelle (hey, her kids really need to be in school right now) and you have a mix of losers and a cast of clowns.

Former U.S. Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., is now disgraced as an adulterer and possible father of mistress Rielle Hunter’s baby. But why now? If it happened in 2006, how could Edwards run for President with a straight face, and deceive everyone around him?

President Bush

By GERALD CARROLL
geraldcarroll@hotmail.com

The war in Iraq will go down as the greatest military victory in history. President Bush will be remembered as one of the most courageous and steadfast leaders to have ever lived and served, and the US is poised to roar back to global prominence despite the petty dictators and religious ankle-biters still taking potshots at Americans the world over.

THE DEATH OF GOOD OL BOY POLITICIANS.

democrats | economics | entertainment | Funny | politicians | politics | presidential election | Republican

As the presidential election looms closer and the race heats up its become obvious that the vast majority of voters that do stand up to be counted are becoming more and more burned out on the so called "televised debates" that seem to "herd" us once again towards the same old stale politics by the same old stale politicains of the same old stale and burnt out partys - which by the way have become harder to tell the difference between the two anymore. We have been subjected once again to the patented and sterile questions from the mediator that is designed to bore the hell out of you and keep you from interfering with the politicians that have been choosen for you by a media that refuses to allow you to see all of the fruit on the tree. More and more the images of people who dare to stand up and question the "authorities" and "candidates" are wisked from the arena and labled "unruly" so as not to raise that red flag in peoples minds - I mean who do these rebels think they are asking anything from their elected officials let alone expecting anything from them once their in office, don't these rebels realize that this is the new world order and you will do as your told and vote for the candidates that are choosen for them?

The Best Music Production Site On The Web

cost of living | economics | health issues | Heat | hip hop | Naive | rappers | Techno | wages

I just discovered legitimately the best music production system the internet has ever seen and ever will see.
My teenaged son was trying to teach me how to download beats from the web, but I found it very difficult. I told him that there has to be a website that allows you to do the same thing with less work. I searched all over the web and came across the best site out there http://tinyurl.com/2yfpar . It was very inexpensive to order, just $29.00. I tried it out and within 2 days I composed a complete song with all of the bells and whistles. My son could not believe that I had put together such an awesome track. I’m telling you, if you want to learn how to put together beats quickly this is the site for you. It has videos and instructions on how to do everything. My son decided that he didn’t want to use his old site anymore. He said that if I could do, it anyone could. If you are looking for an easy site to work with to compose music, this is exactly what you have been looking for. It makes the other more expensive 'Music Production Programs' look like trash. Go http://tinyurl.com/2yfpar to check it out!....

Flat tax flat wrong

blog | economics | GOP | kemo | politics | taxes | workers

The GOP supports a flat tax because they say it will simplify the complicated tax code They must think working poor people are not intelligent enough to understand how to do their taxes? This is insulting to every hard working person who happens to be poor.

Like the vast amount of Americans I’m a hard worker but not rich and not dumb. I’m against a flat tax because it’s not far for the middle class and working poor.

A MYTH ABOUT WAGES

economics | jobs | mininum wage | money | wages

One of Americans' favorite pastimes is complaining about how little their jobs pays, or that their job doesn't pay enough for what they have to do. And politicians are more than willing to take advantage of this. The solution many politicians have, which is of course, popular with those of us that have to work for a living, is to force companies to pay their employees more. Does anyone else see a problem with this idea?

Economics of health diets

commodities | diet | dieting | economics | fitness | Health | investors | money | slim | trade

Developed nations are fighting a worldwide epidemic against obesity. As the Economist(April,2006 edition) notes, about 50% of kids in England could be obese by 2020. The percentage of Americans with BMI over 25 grew to 62 around 2003 and has reached a plateau since.

When such numbers hit a 'tipping point' they drive a mass consumer shift towards health diets. People become inundated with reports that highlight the dangers of being overweight and as a result health diets, fitness centers, and weight loss scams start having a field day. Advertisers that specialize in demonizing the McDonalds of the world sprout out of nowhere with strident rhetoric against unhealthy eating.

Minimum Wage: Not What It's Cracked Up To Be

cost of living | economics | wages

Some of us might think that raising the minimum wage is going to leave us more money to spend at the end of the week or month. Some of us can think again. Economics 101: The number one rule is businesses do not take a hit sitting down....they pass on the costs.....to the consumer.

At $5.25 an hour, Joe was making $210.00 a week. At $6.50, he is making $260.00 a week. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that there is an extra $50.00. But, guess what? After Joe pays his bills, buys his groceries, puts gas in the car, and pays the orthodontist for little Joey's teeth....all at the new, inflated prices.....he doesn't even have enough left over to take his wife out to celebrate the new raise. In fact, if he isn't careful, he will be in the hole.
