So I was a bit frustrated yesterday when I found out that I was going to have to include other people in what I thought was a solo project. I don't mind working with others, that's fine. But suddenly finding out that I have to catch people up and they were thinking I wasn't a team player...that's frustrating.

IDC Research predicts that this year about 97 billion daily e-mails are being send worldwide, of which more than 40 billion can be labelled spam. According to the research firm, 2007 will be the first year that more spam then personal mail will be send.

I am a follower of your blogs, from lrl to your myspace blog. I love the things you speak about and the way you say them. I sent you an -email question to lrl.advice but you didn't post it. I figured it was because so many people send you questions. So I decided to send one here in the hopes of it getting answered. My husband and I are getting a divorce. I am a legal secretary for a law firm downtown. My husband is a file clerk for one of the local plants in town. The court plans on making me split everything with him. I was the bread winner and I feel it wrong that he gets half of what I worked my ass off to get independently. The other day he called me up and told me that he hopes I die. Today the judge announced that he will not give my husband half of my money but he will give him 10% of what I own. When I got home there was a voice mail for me. It was from my husband. He told me that he was sick and tired of us fighting and realized that it would take too mcuh out of use emotionally and mentally to keep up with the separation. He told me that our daughter was crying everyday and he wants to come home so we can work things out. What should I do?

It is driving me crazy! Barbara Walters does it. Katie Couric does it. Even Dr. Phil does it. In fact almost every talk show host, news commentator, and radio host adds an "S" to mail when referring to e-mail.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but mail IS plural. To say "send us your e-mails" is like saying I hope the postman brings my mails up to the door.

Sounds ridiculous doesn't it? So why do they refer to e-mail as e-mails.

I like to send my e-mails complete with my signature - not the squiggly pen variety, but the signature as e-mails view "signature". It is your name and contact details. If it is set up properly it can create a good impression.

I can be just a little pedantic about this. I know that when I am doing business it is important to me that I make it as easy as possible to do business with me.
