How to clear the clutter - clear your home and free your mind!

Disney | Happiness | hidden meanings

Do you feel so attached to material objects that you just can't bring yourself to get rid of them? Is your house becoming so full of stuff that you haven't seen the floor/shelf/closet/storage space in months or even years? Here are a few simple things to do to de-clutter and be happier for it.

First, find three large boxes. Label one 'Donate', one 'Keep' and one 'Trash'. Pick a room or space and plan at least an hour to work on it. Start picking up things, looking through boxes, peeking through books, etc. and ask yourself a few questions:

Donald Duck's banned Episode

cartoon | Disney | visitors

Donald plays a worker in an artillery factory in "Nutzi Land" (Nazi Germany). He struggles with long working hours, very small food rations, and having to salute every time he sees a picture of the Führer (Adolf Hitler). These pictures appear in many places, such as on the assembly line in which he is screwing in the detonators of various sizes of shells. In the end he becomes little more than a small part in a faceless machine with no choice but to obey till he falls, suffering a nervous breakdown. Then Donald wakes up to find that his experience was in fact a nightmare. At the end of the short Donald looks to the Statue of Liberty and the American flag with renewed appreciation.

When She's Old Enough

Disney | Orlando | real estate | Sponsored

Orlando condos, anyone? I'm still fascinated by the place and slowly but surely is approaching the magic age when she's old enough for the full-on Disney experience.

She's not ready yet. A life sized Mickey Mouse in last year's Christmas parade scared the pants off her.

But one day we will be able to explore Orlando, condos, Disney and all.

Shocking Horrors on the Disney Channel

children | Disney | doodlebops | music | shows | TV

I'm somewhat of an anti-tv parent. I don't think people who let their kids watch tv are bad parents, because I do turn it on from time to time. Usually though, I prefer that my daughter not watch televison. I just don't see any need for it. She has so many toys to play with and she loves to look at books and to be read to.
Well this morning, she was not a happy girl. She wouldn't stop whinning, crying, and screaming. For nearly 45 minutes that's all, she was constantly doing one of those three things. I had no idea what she wanted. She wasn't hungry, she'd been changed, she had a sippy cup, she didn't want to sit with me. She only stopped cyring when I stood up and held her. There are a few reasons why I cannot stand up and hold a 30lb girl all day, but we wont go into that. So I resorted to television. I turned on the t.v and looked for some sort of child's program. I found "The Doodlebops" now for those of you who have seen the doodlebops...I'm sorry. For those of you who have not-steer clear of the disney channel in the morning, it could give you nightmares. Despite the horrific visual and crappy music Briar found the show to be rather entertaining. ***Sigh*** everything I worked so hard for is going down the drain. She was supposed to have good taste in music. I played James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and so much more great music for her while she was in the womb!

Sexual Hidden Messages in Disney Movies - Fact or Fiction?

Disney | hidden meanings | hidden messages | sex | subliminal advertising

Is it truth or Urban Legend that there are hidden messages in Disney Movies? For over 10 years people have argued that Disney has slipped in Sexually explicit innuendos into almost every movie they have produced in the 90’s and before. Remember that a single slide is only on the screen for a fraction of a second, so it is often hard to spot.
Here’s some of the myths:

Aladdin –
