Troy Cooley, the Australia bowling coach, does not plan any major rebuilding of Shaun Tait's action despite him averaging five wides a game. Tait is currently the second-most successful fast man at the World Cup with 16 wickets at 22.12 and his strike-rate is one reason why his waywardness is not a major concern.

In a previous blog at Blogger Party I predicted the Democrats would win by a 65-35 margin, and sure enough this proved to be approximately correct. For now, the Democrats have a majority going into both chambers of Congress when the lame duck Republican-controlled Congress gives up its reign next January.

My mom is my biggest source of amusement for this reason. Watch this blog, and you’ll quickly learn why she is also my biggest source of frustration.
Anyway, she recently lost one of her brothers. Nothing funny in that. He was loved by all who knew him, and I know he’s at peace in heaven now. But here’s the funny part. Upon leaving the local newspaper office she told me that she had to decline the secretary’s offer to place her brother’s picture in with the obituary. I asked why. She said the only decent shot of him was the group photo hanging in the computer room. I said, “I could have cropped him out of the picture. Oops! She had forgotten I could do that. Yes, and I could change him to a b&w shot to make it easier on the paper’s editor too.
