Stress seems to be the biggest health problem i see on a daily basis.
Every time i talk to my mother she is consistently under a tremendous amount of Stress. This is confusing to me because i live a pretty carefree life. Taking care of problems as they hit me and continuing forward in stride. I asked her why she is under so much Stress and she responded, "I do way too much! My boss is constantly piling more work on me and your little brother is pain to worry about, I have a house payment that needs to be made and your father is off god knows where at the late hours of the night." I was left speechless upon her saying that. I was not at all able to say anything to that. Who am i to tell her yeah don't worry so much and you won't be nearly as Stressed when all of those things were critical to her. Stress is one big problem in the United States however i have come to the conclusion that at times it is unavoidable and that we will all experience this.

There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.
Romans 2:9-11
The future judgment which Paul has been describing will be universal. All people will experience it and the measure used will be the same for all human beings.

Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. Romans 1:22-23
We have seen how sin distorts the mind and darkens the heart of men and women.
Now, continuing his explanation of the reality of God's wrath being revealed, Paul expands this idea. Not only are we darkened and futile in our thinking. We are also self-deceived. claiming to be wise, they became fools. People's foolishness is shown primarily by a breathtaking exchange that has taken place.

Christ | Christian Living | christianity | God | Religion
Today is Good Friday, the day that Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross. Did you ever wonder why it is called Good Friday, if it is such a mournful day when Christ was crucified? It is thought that this day was originally called God's Friday. Christ was flogged, whipped, beaten, and then, half dead, carried His cross down the Via Dolorosa (the road to Golgotha). There at Golgotha, three men were put to death by crucifixion. Often the bodies hung there on the cross for even a few days before they were taken down and buried. However, this is the time of Passover, so the bodies were taken down from their crosses by the end of the day so that burial could take place before the Passover feast. Jesus' body was taken to a tomb and a large stone was rolled in front of it. Guards were placed in front of the tomb. The rest of the story happens on Easter when Jesus rises from the dead and claims victory over Satan and death.

Christ | christianity | Jesus | Philosophy | Religion
There are many good religions. For years, I explored the thoughts and philosophies of many of them. In college I studied philosophy. Throughout my twenties and thirties I wove in and out of one religion after another. But ultimately, I chose to be a Christian. Why? Because the message of Jesus Christ spoke to me.
It is a simple message of love. He spoke about how important it is to treat other people with the same respect and kindness you would want for yourself. He taught reverence towards God. Aside from those two messages there aren’t a lot of rules because those two messages pretty much encompasses all of the rules. If you wouldn’t want someone stealing your property, then don’t steal. If you wouldn’t want someone sleeping with your spouse, then don’t sleep with someone else’s spouse. If you don’t want to be murdered, then don’t murder anyone. It’s basically a philosophy of live and let live.

Christ | Christian | church | Easter
I live in rural Wisconsin and attend a country church. As an outreach project we have set up an outdoor Easter presentation. We have scenes set up all around the outside of the church. We have a very large space, so there is plenty of room between scenes. The first scene is the live marketplace, complete with live animals. Groups of about twenty are gathered and led through the scenes by a tour guide. They proceed through the scenes of Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, Garden of Gethsemene, Jesus carrying the cross, Crucifiction, Empty tomb, Ascension. In all there are about 200 people from our church involved, ranging in age from age 2-75. It has been a great way to unite our church, young and old.
