There sure are a lot of people upset about Chris Daughtry being voted off American Idol. Many folks predicted that Chris would win it all. In fact, the "American Idol is Rigged" crew (check out www.votefortheworst.com) suggested that A.I. producers were going the extra mile to ensure that Chris was their winner.

Now people are announcing various conspiracy theories (check out this blog ) to explain why Chris was voted off. Despite the fact that Chris was my favorite in the Idol race, I'm not hugely surprised that he is no longer in the running.

Was Chris Daughtry falsely voted off of American Idol? There is now a conspiracy theory floating around on the internet. Was Chris set up to fail? Was this a FOX plot to gain ratings? Was there a mistake in the vote tallying? This is quickly becoming, “The Biggest Scandal of the Year�.
It was on the news last night that there have been yearly mistakes in vote counting made. According to MSN, Clay Aiken had actually won over Reuben by 30,000 yet Ryan fumbled the #'s 3 times during that finale. During the Fantasia finally, phone lines were down in parts of the US. Ad in the Bo Bice finally, a wrong number appeared under Bice’s photo. When people called the number they were directed to an American Idol Chat Line, not anyplace where a vote could be placed.

American Idol – Conspiracy Against Kellie Pickler?

You may have heard, there is a web site called “Vote for the Worst� that uses anti-American Idol fans to sway votes. They do this in order to get the best singers thrown off the show. That is one reason why you see excellent singers in the bottom two. With 3740140 hits all ready this season, this site definitely has some pull!

According to this site: “American Idol is not about singing at all, it's about making good reality TV and enjoying the cheesy, guilty pleasure of watching bad singing. That's the sentiment of one American Idol fan regarding Chris Daughtry's failure to credit the band "Live" for the arrangement of the Johnny Cash song "I Walk The Line" he performed last Tuesday.

I have to admit, I was rather impressed with his performance. I wondered all night how Chris Daughtry would pull of performing a 50's song, without losing his rock edge.
