Sassypuss was talking to herself the other night (she often does this while admiring her reflection in the mirror) and she got to thinking about cartoons (she often does that, too). In thinking about cartoons, Sassyspuss thought that she could find a cartoon character that matched each BloggerParty blogger’s personality or, failing that, could find the antithesis of each blogger’s personality in a cartoon character.

Submitted by Mikel on March 12, 2007 - 4:43pm. cartoon | Disney | visitorsDonald plays a worker in an artillery factory in "Nutzi Land" (Nazi Germany). He struggles with long working hours, very small food rations, and having to salute every time he sees a picture of the Führer (Adolf Hitler). These pictures appear in many places, such as on the assembly line in which he is screwing in the detonators of various sizes of shells. In the end he becomes little more than a small part in a faceless machine with no choice but to obey till he falls, suffering a nervous breakdown. Then Donald wakes up to find that his experience was in fact a nightmare. At the end of the short Donald looks to the Statue of Liberty and the American flag with renewed appreciation.

Deep down in the Pacific Ocean in the city of Bikini Bottom lives a square yellow sea sponge named SpongeBob SquarePants. SpongeBob lives in a pineapple with his pet snail, Gary, loves his job as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab, and has a knack for getting into trouble without really trying. When he's not getting on his cranky neighbor Squidward's nerves, SpongeBob's usually smack in the middle of a strange situation with his best starfish buddy, Patrick, or his thrill-seeking squirrel pal, Sandy Cheeks.
Is Spongebob Gay?

My kids watch alot of Nickelodeon cartoons, probably more than any other network.Unquestionably one of their favorite shows is Spongebob Squarepants.Consequently I have seen countless episodes myself, and I must admit,it is funny. But I always have thought that Spongebob acts pretty gay sometimes. Not all the time, but sometimes he will say some gay things in a gay voice.I doubt that he's supposed to be gay, just kind of innocent and happy I guess. My opinion is that he isn't gay.But Squidward definitely is.He's one of those undercover type who tells people he would just rather be single,I guarentee it.I can tell just by looking at him.

The political cartoon posted last Sunday (20 August 2006) by John De Rosier of the Times Union (Albany, NY). If you have, no surprise. It’s certainly made the rounds. I found out about it from favorite blogger Cooper, who describes the long and winding path the cartoon took to her door. If you haven’t seen it, click the link.

Why Does Japanese Animation Succeed?

To be honest,I am one of the fans of Japanese Cartoons.I am crazy about Naruto and Bleach, these two Japanese cartoons. They are excellent works.Although they are long or even tedious ,always having one or two hundred series, I like them and watch them continually. It makes me smiling and crying with the characters inside the cartoons.Recalling the childhood,I grew up with Japanese cartoons. They made my childhood more colorful.
Tragedy on South Park as Oprah's 'Minge' and Rectum Fatally Wounded
Submitted by Sir Smittius of... on April 21, 2006 - 12:25pm. cartoon | Oprah | review | South Park | television | towelieAfter the whole 'Cartoon Wars' incident, South Park has firmly established themselves (if they hadn't already) as the preeminent cartoon to voice serious issues in humorous yet disturbing (and occasionally disgusting) fashion. Expecting big things for the episode following 'Cartoon Wars' was obviously too much to ask. Perhaps Stone and Parker are burnt out, making such poignant and funny cartoons in such a short period of time. Perhaps they were manifesting their anger at Comedy Centrals censorship of their past material. Whatever the reason, the most recent episode (s10e05) '1,000,000 Little Fibres' was a complete joke and waste of time.
Once Upon a Time
Submitted by IntricateGirl on February 28, 2006 - 11:10am. animation | cartoon | German | Kauka | videoI received an email from a woman today. A couple of years ago I wrote on a blog about a movie I remembered from my childhood. It was sort of an Alice In Wonderland type film, but it was different enough to have its own appeal. The name of the film is "Once Upon a Time" by Rolf Kauka. It is a German animated film, and it also goes by the title, "Der Zauberstein" and "Maria d'Oro und Bello Blue". I saw it on a station that is long extinct, which fits, because everyone associated with this movie is also long extinct. The director is dead, and the production companies and the distributor no longer exist.
