So much going on

It has been a long time since I have had the chance to post on this blog. I have been too busy to do much of anything online lately. We finally got our trailer but still haven't been able to get it pulled across our bridge so we can move in. My husband's uncle was supposed to do it this week and we can't get a hold of him now. So we're trying to find someone else to do it. The cop has already stopped once to ask when we were going to get it moved because right now it is parked right beside where the mailbox used to be. My husband had to move the mailbox back further. People are complaining because of where it is sitting but it is not our fault. We have a big mud hole in our driveway and his uncle was afraid he would get stuck because his four wheel drive isn't working on his truck. So we have had to wait until the rain was over for it to dry and it has been dried up for a week or more. We have had so many great sunny, warm days to get this done but my husband keeps calling his uncle and he hasn't returned his call. It is really making me mad because we already have the trailer cleaned out with the carpet put down and some of the small furniture put in already. Now all we have to do once we get it moved is move in and move the heavy furniture in. We are so sick of waiting so we're looking for someone else to do it for us.

Making Money With Your Blog

When I first started blogging actively, I never knew that there were programs you could really make money with your blog, other than Google AdSense. I've listed down the programs that I am using to "MONITIZE" my blog :-

1. Google AdSense - if you are here, you probably would already be earning money from this already
2. Pay Per Post - they have some requirements for a blog to be approved & some of their opportunities has rather ... strict. But, hey they pay well!

Is there life after blogitive

Losing my Blogitive "job" has really hurt. I don't mean my feelings, but my checkbook.

Although I wasn't making that much from it, it did help. I was looking forward to putting the next 2 weeks of earnings toward Christmas gifts.

I still can't believe they just up and did that with no warning, at CHRISTMAS time. I went to log in on a Monday morning, saw the entry underneath the login box, and boom within a few hours my blogs were deleted.

Russian Brides - ENOUGH IS EFFING ENOUGH!

Listen up, people. I am going to use words of one syllable here.

I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING MORE ABOUT RUSSIAN BRIDES!!

Read this. Right Now.

By promoting the Russian Brides crap, you Blogitive types are likely promoting the international sex trade, once known as "white slavery". A trade that can and has led to the death, maiming, and torturing of women throughout the world.

My thoughts on Blogitive rejecting Bloggerparty.

Am I bummed that I can no longer place ads on my blog? Yes and no.

Let's face it. The one troll who told me I was a "whore" got closer to nailing it than anyone else. But nobody said a whore can't enjoy their job. It's easy money, and *most* of the posts weren't too offensive to me. It's hard to say no when someone offers you $5 to write 100 words about truck covers. $5 per post times X number of posts times X number of blogs equals one more month between me and poverty.

Disclosing your sponsored posts

The other day I was looking over different posts here on Blogger Party. I came across one comment that mentioned something about there being the same posts on here. I took it to mean that possibly the person would be talking about posts from people that work with Blogitive or Blogsvertise.

These posts don't bother me at all. The reason I say this is because I don't have to read it. And if I do see something I like, I can read it. It's the same with any post on here, and I don't begrudge anyone that is trying to make an honest buck. If someone doesn't like reading them, then they should simply skip it and move on to the next post.

I don't do any posts for Pay Per Post at all. One of the reasons is due to their policy of not allowing posts on places like blogger party, etc. They talk about it not being very professional to blog on a website like that. Why? Because someone might make a few cents a day from doing it? I think that's very silly. It's not like any of our blogs here are making a fortune.

So for the people that are able to make $5.00 or $10.00 a post, keep up the good work. Reading these blog entries don't bother me at all.

Big kudos.

I got a bit grouchy in my last post, but I will say that Blogitive accepted it. So I've got to give kudos to them for meaning it when they say you don't have to write something positive. And the same thing to the sponsor. It's one thing to know you're signing up for something where people can write rotten things about your company. It's another to have them actually written.

And finally, to the people who have a problem with this form of advertising, I would say that this is proof of how it's supposed to work. I try to find something nice about the sponsor, but in some cases, I disagree with them. And yet, I'm still able to put my true feelings. Opponents argue that there is no transparency. But I told you right off the bat that it was sponsored, and then I told you that I didn't like it. I don't know how it gets any more transparent than that.

Evolution of a Blogger

My life as a blogger has changed dramatically since it started. Once upon a time blogging was something I did to escape and deal with the troubles of my real life. Now my life is problem free! Just kidding, naturally I still have problems, but life has certainly lightened my load a bit as far as problems go...knock on wood.

Blogging has turned from a personal diary to my ideal profession. Everyday I feel more and more like I’m accomplishing something with my blogs. No I’m not figuring out world peace or anything, but I’m doing something that I love, for me, and I’m making a bit of money along the way.

Has Your Link Made the A-List?

*This is a sponsored post.*

Anyone with a service to offer and a website to describe that service has got to wonder how they can increase their link popularity and watch their business boom.

And, unfortunately, the answer to this query is not a simple one. You would have to be well versed in mathematics, particularly altgorithms, to be able to figure this one out on your own. But one thing that is easy to find out is that Google is one of the powerhouses when it comes to searches and if your site is linked to blogs which Google searches fervently for keywords and website links, then you are well on your way to getting on the "link A-list".

How long does it take you to blog?

How long does it usually take you to write 3 posts? When I say this, I mean the 2 posts of your own and the 1 Blogitive post.

Most people would not thinking that writing is hard. But sometimes, it can be very tough to come up with something to write. Especially, if you make a real effort to write something that others would want to read. Which I've noticed that most of you do.
