God is Good

Bible | blessing | God | Religion

Today, I want to talk about how God is so good to us and how he wants to bless each one of us. First he wants all to come to repentance. He does not want anyone in Hell but for all to be saved. Saved from what you ask? Sin that's what. What is sin you ask. It is simply breaking God's laws. But there's a problem. We just cannot keep those laws and if you want to get to Heaven by your own good deeds, then you would have to keep the whole law perfectly. But this is impossible for anyone at all. He who keeps the whole law and offends in one point is guilty of all. So what is the solution? Jesus is the answer because he took our punishment upon himself when he died on the cross. Then he achieved victory over death by rising from the dead.(no,they did not find the bones of Jesus)

Pregnancy and In-laws

baby | blessing | failure | pregnancy | Pregnant | resolve

I am a struggling writer and I have just found out that I am pregnant. My husband and I couldn't be more happier. His parents are probably going to freak out on us when they find out.

I was debating on if and when we should tell them. I know that I can not put off the inevitable but I can put off telling them for a while.

Not The First Black After All

black | blessing | Canaan | curse | Ham | Noah | Punishment

Many report Ham as being the first black, but read Genesis 9:25-27 carefully and you will see two major holes in this claim. First, it is Canaan, not Ham, that Noah curses. Second, he is cursed to be his brothers’ servant. Nowhere is skin color mentioned as a part of this punishment. The identity of the first black remains a mystery.
