Relationships score most highly as causes of stress levels, with work issues trailing behind. After all, if someone is reasonably happy in their personal life, they can weather the storms at work much better than if they are also unhappy at home. Often unhappiness in work, or absenteeism from it, is not dictated by the work environment at all. Personal unhappiness is likely to have its root cause in the home relationship; in problems which people do not find easy to discuss with others, which they tend to keep secret for fear of losing face, or generating gossip, and which make coping with work issues far more difficult and problematic.

Submitted by praveenkumar06 on January 21, 2007 - 5:56pm. blackjack | tipsWhen we're talking strategy in Blackjack, you need to know about six basic components of the game. This section, Part 2, deals with: Soft Hands, Insurance, and Surrender.
Soft hands
We initially mentioned soft hands in Part 1, so now let's delve into the details. Soft hands can be tricky for the Blackjack layman because they have their own special rules when it comes to hitting, standing and doubling down. As a quick reminder, Soft hands are any hand with an Ace, where the player can choose between 2 totals, ie A and 5 could be 6 or 16.
Introduction to Blackjack
Submitted by praveenkumar06 on January 21, 2007 - 5:50pm. blackjackBlackjack or 21 (twenty-one), is by far the most popular casino table game. It is quick to learn the basics and playing blackjack is fun.
The objective of Blackjack is for a Player to come as close to 21 without going over, while still having a higher total than the Dealer. Prior to receiving any cards, the Player must place a wager. Once the wager is made, the Player is dealt two cards face up. The Dealer is also dealt two cards. If the total value of the Player's cards is closer to 21 than the Dealer, the Player wins as much as was wagered. The Player also wins if the Dealer goes over 21 and the Player has not busted.

I've written a few articles elsewhere about poker, but my favorite casino game is blackjack. Not that I really hang out in casinos all that often, mind you. I love blackjack. It's easy, it has good odds, and there's a slight amount of skill vs. relying on luck alone.

I’m Sorta Bad at Texas Hold-Em
Submitted by wastedtime on November 27, 2006 - 1:24pm. blackjack | bluff | poker | self-confidence | sell | Texas Hold-EmSorta bad. Meaning that I do pretty good at playing the actual cards but I just can’t get the bluffing down. When I’ve got a really good hand I can usually follow through and win it. But if I’ve got a so-so good hand, I can usually get bluffed out. And half the time, I would have won the hand if I weren’t so easily bluffed. And sometimes I know a player is bluffing and winning and I get pissed and decide I’m going to take them down and then on the hand that I decide to go for it, they finally come up with a winner.
