The more research I do about Branson, Missouri, the more fun it sounds. It truly does sound like the “Vegas of the Midwest.” But it seems like it caters to older people. That’s fine with me. I feel like I’m 97 some days. But I was thinking about staying at one of the Branson resortsand taking in a few shows for our vacation this year. The World-Fest sounds like a lot of fun. It’s a celebration of goodwill among various cultures and continents in one small place. Music and dance from different regions are featured and it’s the perfect place to bring the entire family.

North Carolina

One of our options is to check into the booming Raleigh North Carolina real estate market because our friends live in Georgia. It wouldn’t be that far away, but just far enough to have a buffer zone. It would be thousands of miles away from her parents, though. That’s the only drawback to living on the east coast. If it wasn’t for that, I would probably be living in one of the Carolinas right now.

Ingredients:
Your choice of meat (we used shrimp)
Turkey Baccon
pineapple
jalapenos
mushrooms
Your choice of maranade
Maranade your meat using the time suggested on the bottle. We used a baja lime maranade that was FANTASTIC on 1/2 the kabobs, as well as some Soy Vay Terriaki mixed with liquid smoke on the other 1/2.
