Low breast milk supply is not producing enough breast milk for your baby to gain weight from breastmilk alone. For some breastfeeding mothers with low milk supply, they may realize right off that they are not making enough breastmilk. In my case, my milk came in great a few days after delivery. For the next several days, my breastmilk supply was fine. But about a week after birth, I knew I was not producing enough breastmilk. A little would come out, but not enough to satisfy my son's needs. So I immediately started pumping and supplementing with formula.

On Friday, my darling soon-to-be-one-year-old daughter woke up with hives. Approximately eight of them, in various places. This was in addition to the ever-spreading rash on her rear, which was (mis)identified as eczema. I called her new allergy/immunology specialist to ask her what to do. The nurse said, "Come in now, now, now!" Since hives can precede anaphylaxis (a potentially fatal allergic reaction), they had reason to be worried.

A Motorcross bike, a Fisher Price Escalade, A John Deere ride on tractor - amazing stuff, really, but made for a much older child (well, some of them are for three and up but that's much older when you are only one, don't you think?).

Today my ten-month-old baby girl said, "Dada" when prompted AND looked at Daddy at the same time. I think she said "Hi" and "Mama" yesterday. She also waves enthusiastically at herself in the mirror (her whole arm gets involved and her mouth is wide open, it's outstanding).

Today my daughter clearly said, "Mama" when I came in her room after her first nap of the day. She's been messing around with those syllables a lot but this is the first time that it's been for-sure directed at me. She's about 10-and-a-half months old, which makes her far younger than my son in terms of communication firsts. She's actually been saying "M-m-m-m" off and on when she's been crying and wanting me but this is the first time to my knowledge that more than the M sound was associcated with my presence. Too cool!

He had so much fun and ate cake!! He had icing all over him and when he took a bath he turned the water blue! I was sad though because his daddy is out on a truck driving job and will not be back until monday. but we still had fun with grandma coming. she got him 2 more leappad books.
