Auctions are those events where properties or goods are sold to the highest bidder. Auctions are mostly public events, where bidders make a series of bids and purchase a particular item for a high price. During auctions, bidders decide the price of an item rather than the seller. It depends on bidders to decide the amount they would want to pay for a specific item. During an auction, a bid is a proof of a legal binding. Bidders agree to pay the amount that they have bid. In a high profile auction, bidders may have to pay a deposit in escrow accounts or give a proof that they can pay for those items.

Submitted by amandaberryman on May 13, 2008 - 7:42am. auction | auctions | cancel | canceled | foreclosure | investment | jackson | Michael | neverland | ranchThe foreclosure auction for Michael Jackson’s Nerverland Ranch that was scheduled for this week was canceled after an investment company called Colony Capital LLC. bought the loan. Jackson hasn’t lived on the property for the past two years and is happy at the way things turned out. He recently had to go into default on the $24.5 million that he owes on the property and has struggled to pay his debts after his decline in finances after his arrest in 2003 on child molestation charges where he was later acquitted.

Mykidscloset..... An alternative to Ebay perhaps?
Submitted by angelface79 on April 24, 2007 - 9:49am. Antiques | auctions | baby products | Big Brother All Stars | classifieds | ebay | Live FeedsHas anyone checked out Mykidscloset.com?
It looks like it's a good place for parents to sell children's products. Especially clothing. As a mom, I know how fast my kids grow out of their clothes.
They have a section called What's happing in your area? that actually gives you detailed stats about links and clicks in your area. It's free for private sellers.
I love winning prizes!
Submitted by allie on April 24, 2007 - 6:38am. auctions | cell phones | deet | mosquitoes | prizes | sponsored post | winningI have always loved winning prizes. In February, my husband and I were lucky enough to win a big screen TV as part of a free gifts raffle his company was doing at work. How amazing that was for us! We don't usually have that kind of luck.
I also love ebay. There is nothing better than winning an auction and getting something for a great price! Well, I can name a few things, but I really do get a thrill out of winning. The only problem is that sometimes the bids get so high that I can't afford to keep bidding.
Success Is Never Without Failure

That is my favorite quote. Since I got into the internet back in 2000, I have tried so many programs to earn a second income, I can't even count the programs, there are too many. I tried surveys, paid emails, MLM, and so on.
3 months ago I tried Ebay. First I tried selling stuff I found in my attic and garage, but after I sold most of my "junk" I ran out of stuff to sell. Then I received an email from some marketer stating I can make more on Ebay by trying a wholesale dropshipper. I was directed to a wholesale dropshipper site, I figured what have I got to lose, if this fails that would be the story of my internet life. Not only do they supply you with name brand products at wholesale prices, they offer you training to become an Ebay powerseller. After 3 months, I am making a decent online income. This is not a "get rich quick and never have to work agian in your life" kind of thing. This is a legitimate way to make money on Ebay. I am looking at a couple more months before I quit my job and make this my new day to day job.
Backpage.... Kind of like craigslist, but much better!

There set up is alot like craigslist as well. They have several different cities. You simply click on the link on the right hand side. It's free to use. If you have something to sell, you can post a free ad, or do some upgrades. They send an email, and you simply click on the link to confirm your ad.
Ebay and feedback
Submitted by angelface79 on November 9, 2006 - 9:52am. auctions | Business | ebay | ecommerce | home employment | sales | websitesI have been selling on Ebay for quite a few years now. Overall, I really enjoy it, and I've had positive experiences. I've also bought quite alot from Ebay.
When I first started purchasing stuff on there, I bought a photo album. The photo album was supposed to be brand new and the color was supposed to be Navy. I really didn't pay much for it, but I paid alot for the shipping. But once I got it, I was very disappointed. The photo album was not brand new, and it was a pink floral color.
My Great eBay Career
Submitted by Jeanne Gibson on June 25, 2006 - 1:56pm. auctions | ebay | Log Cabin Syrup | research | work at homeI love eBay, and over the the last several years, I have sold everything imaginable from my eBay auction site.
I'm afraid I started out with a horrible mish-mash of items and no knowledge at all of what to charge or how to create an auction. Hopefully, I have learned a little bit since then.
My first auction was for 3 stamps I thought might be quite valuable. It turned out that they weren't valuable at all, and the man who purchased them was quick to tell me so --- in a polite way, of course. I refunded his money cheerfully, (well, maybe not cheerfully, but without complaining), and chalked it up as a learning experience.
Money in the attic
Submitted by mutchie on May 7, 2006 - 3:55am. attic | auctions | Make MoneyI decided to have a big clean out of the attic, didn't realise how much stuff I had kept. A lot of it was rubbish and headed straight for the bin, I not enitirely sure why I kept a lot of this stuff.
But I have managed to find all my old barbies, other toys and books all still in pretty good condition. So I have made a start of putting them onto an online auction. Didn't realise how time consuming it was going to be, taking the pics, writing the descriptions, uploading the pics and then trying to work out how much the postage and packaging is going to cost.
Can You Really Buy A Soul On ebay?
Submitted by Jeanne Gibson on March 11, 2006 - 12:27pm. auctions | God | minister | Religion | travestyHow Much Is A Human Soul Worth?
The Wall Street Journal published an article by Suzanne Sataline this week describing how an Atheist, Hemant Mehta auctioned off his soul on ebay to a former evangelical minister, Jim Henderson, for $504.
One might think that Jim Henderson, the buyer, purchased the soul of Hemant Mehta for the purpose of converting him to Christianity. Not so. Rather, he wanted Mr. Mehta to attend various church services with him, and to write articles about these visits for a website run by the former Reverend Henderson. In thearticles, Hemant Mehta was to give a non-believers view of each service, and rank whomever presented the message on a scale of 1-10.
