How can you really make it in music?

So how do you really make it in the music business? Most artists think that doing an album and getting a record deal will make it for them but a lot of times even having a recording contract doesn't bring you fame. The best way to become know as a singer is to sing in public and do as many gigs as you can. If you have an album or a song you want to promote then you can take your cd's to your gigs and sell them. Also it's hype. If you've got nice photos, flyers, radio credits it all helps to get you known. And it depends on what kind of song you have aswell. Who listens to your music? Are you singig in the right places? An artist(e) can get bored easily concentrating on all the promotion but it's very important if you want to be a success. Without promoting yourself it's difficult to get known so i think the best way is just record a good song or album, get some copies and just get out there and do your thing.

Don't you love how our Government works?

Don't you love how our Government works? They can screw us over in a heartbeat, yet we are supposed to blindly follow them no matter what happens. Then, if we don't, we're considered "Unpatriotic". After registering for the draft i was wondering and thinking about all of the different priveleges that came with turning 18.

To start out, I am now allowed to smoke (which I wouldn't do anyways), I am allowed to look at porn and go to strip clubs (also wouldn't do in fear of my girlfriend lol), allowed to gamble (love it), and am allowed to go to join the military.
