AdWord Profit Secrets

advertising | adwords | Make Money | pay per click | ppc | start making money | start making money online

Google Adwords is a great advertising program that can generate fantastic profits for your online business. In fact, some businesses rely exclusively on AdWords to bring traffic (and profits) to their site.

But all is not perfect with Google AdWords. Have you ever been slapped by Google and had the cost on your perfect keyword pegged at $5.00 or even $10.00 for a single click? That’s a real slap in the face. Google does this when they determine that your ad/keyword is not relevant. In most cases, this situation results from your keyword not appearing on the page you are linking to.

There is an easy fix for this situation if you are linking the ad to your own site. Carefully look at your ad and the keyword you are targeting and use it on your web page. Make sure you enter it in the meta tags, if possible. Ideally, you should use this keyword in your title, description, and keyword meta tags. Then make sure you use it several times in the content on the page. One caution using this technique; don’t just throw the keyword in there haphazardly. You have to make sure that it fits in with your content and is relevant.

There is an easy technique I use to make sure all of my keywords are relevant. When developing an AdWords campaign, I click on the option to allow Google to select keywords based on the site I am targeting. After entering the URL, Google will bring up a list of relevant keywords for that site. If you stick with keywords from this list, you will never have to worry about getting slapped and being charged 5 or 10 bucks for a single keyword.

However, if you had your heart set on using a keyword that is not in the list, refer to the easy fix above and you should have no problem. Do you want to learn how to make money?

How To Start Your First Adwords Campaign Without Spending A Fortune

advertising | adwords | Make Money | pay per click | ppc | start making money | start making money online

Many people are afraid to use begin using Adwords. They’ve heard of the stories where someone starts out and gets billed for thousands of dollars. Although this has happened, it is not a frequent occurrence and it is something that is easily prevented by entering a low maximum cost per day.

Start out by getting an Adwords account at Adwords dot Google dot com. After opening your account, use their free keyword research tool to find attractive keywords. I find it easiest to use their site based keyword generation tool. This option allows you to enter the URL of your website and Google will choose the most relevant keywords based on your site’s content.

After getting your list of keywords, enter a low dollar amount and your keyword list will be re-populated with the cost per click for each keyword. This allows you to calculate what your total costs would be. If this is your first campaign, look for keywords that:

1. Are within your budget and make sense financially.
If you are using Adwords to develop your mailing list, pay careful attention to the math. If your squeeze page is converting sign-ups at the rate of 30% and you send 100 people there, you can expect to add 30 people to your list. If you are paying ten cents per click, then your cost per subscriber is thirty-three cents. If you can buy subscribers from another source for twenty-five cents each, it would not make sense to use Adwords for this campaign. Always keep an eye on your numbers.

2. Have the lowest possible "Advertiser Competition" rating.
Higher competition means higher cost.

3. Have a “Low” to "Average Search Volume" rating.
I usually recommend that people start out by looking for “Low Search Volume” keywords, particularly if this is your first campaign. Although you will not get a ton of clicks using this technique, it is a good way to get your feet wet and get some hands on experience as to how the program works. As you get more comfortable, you can add keywords with higher search volume.

The most important factor when starting your first Adwords campaign is this: Always set a maximum amount that you are willing to pay that is within your budget! Do not assume that because you have chosen low volume keywords, you will automatically get few clicks. So let me repeat – Always set a maximum amount that you are willing to pay that is within your budget! By starting your Adwords campaign using this information, you can learn the process slowly, thoroughly, and inexpensively.

Your First Adwords Campaign

advertising | adwords | Make Money | pay per click | ppc | start making money | start making money online

You’ve finished your first product and you have it up for sale. Now the real work starts, driving traffic to your sales page. Many people who are new to Internet marketing would like to try Adwords, but are reluctant to get started.

Adwords does not have to be scary if you start out slow and use your head. To get started, register with Adwords. After you are approved, go to their keyword tool. Once there, check the box that says to use your website to select keywords and enter the URL of your website. This is the easiest way to get started because it allows Google to find the most relevant keywords for your site.

It will generate a list of keywords along with the competition and search volume. Check the box to determine the cost of each keyword listed. Enter the maximum amount that you are willing to spend each day. This is the maximum that you want to spend PER DAY. If you are just starting out, pick an amount that you can easily afford. Do not count on making any sales to make your payments to Google. You must be able to afford to pay your total excluding any sales. This is where some people get into financial trouble.

As you look through the list for the cost of each keyword, choose those that are the least expensive. You won’t get a ton of clicks from these keywords, but you just want to get your feet wet and try it out. After you become a little more comfortable with the program, you can experiment with other, more active keywords.

To develop your ad, look at ads for similar products. Of course, you can’t copy them word for word, but you can use a similar style for your ad. Try to come up with three or four different versions for your ad. Then go back and enter the ad you want to use with your first Adwords campaign.

One final word of advice, before clicking the submit button to finalize your campaign, make sure to review ALL of the details. Ensure that you have correctly entered a maximum cost per day that is within your budget. Make sure that your keywords are reasonably priced and are the ones that you intended to use. Double check your ad to ensure there are no errors or misspellings. And, most importantly, triple check the URL to make sure that it directs people to the correct website, you don’t want an ad that you are paying for, directing people to someone else’s site.

How To Triple Your Ad Revenue

ad revenue | ads | adsense | advertising | af | Make Money | start making money | start making money online

If you are interested in making money online, you are probably familiar with all of the standard money making techniques; Adsense, affiliate programs, contextual links, signature files, etc. These are all pretty standard within the industry and they work quite well.

Most webmasters place Adsense as well as ads for other publishers and give them premium placement on their sites. Even though they will only make a few cents per click, some sites bring in thousands of dollars in advertising every month. However, very few small sites bother to place ads for their own (or affiliate) products on their site and this is a big mistake. On a per click basis, each click on your own product’s ad can easily be worth 2 or 3 times what you are getting from other advertisers.

For that reason, I always place ads for my own (and affiliate) products on every page of my sites. This method works great and is responsible for about 25% of the affiliate sales that I generate each month. I design my own ads for these products and put I them in prominent locations on every page. I vary the placement and look of the ads so that a visitor may not even realize that they are looking at an ad for the same product. In this way, each page looks unique and visitors do not become blind to a particular ad (or location) because of its repetition.

So if you are excited about the advertising money that you are making with your site, try including ads for your own, or affiliate products. Used consistently, this technique can easily double or triple the value of each click and the amount of advertising money that you are making each month.
