What happened to WritingUp.com? Does anyone know? It used to be quite a big paid-to-blog site, very similar to this one. It had many users and was said to draw lots of traffic. Then I had heard of them having some trouble... something related to stolen content, I think, or perhaps violations of Google Adsense rules. At that point, I had abandoned my blog that I had there.

I am another writingUp survivor who seeks some stability and comfort in his blogging life. WritingUp has been down for two days and appears to be less and less reliable, so here I am, exploring the new territory. Though it seems like it is not so new and you guys have built a nice community.

Vanity, sometimes, is everyone's biggest sin, at some point in their lives. Sins come in all different ways and as God fearing Americans, we are taught that no sin is greater than the next. Well if this is so then why don't liars get sent to prison to spend half of their lives rotting there?

We all lie, hey, that's a part of our human DNA. We might lie and not tell Ronnie that his penis is really small and he would make a horrible porn actor. We might not tell Kayla that her nose is far too crooked and no casting director would hire her even if she promised to suck his dick and his later generation of boy's dicks.

I just got an invition that I include someone of my FRIEND's LIST here and I might Most people blog because they are writers, and it can be an "almost"-excessive passion to do so. My friend just started her blog and "auctioned" off her article like an optional "pay per read" at stormpay (which is an idea) because people do read and learn -and some are vastly entertained when browsing through another's blog. An example of such a blog which is pure entertainment is something like Believer's WritingUp.com blog which I LOVE.

The WritingUp drama continues...

There have been several posts lately about WritingUp and the dangers of having your Google Adsense account on that site. What it basically comes down to is that WritingUp has been accused of using illegal traffic exchanges and illegal click exchanges.

I have been blogging on writingUp for nearly three months and have enjoyed myself immensely. I went there to hone my writing, establish a bit of an identity, and read what others were writing. It was all good. I did not think I would be interested in the community, but I became very interested in many of the members. A camraderie clearly exists there.

There has been such an incosistency of being able to get on that site over the last several weeks that I may have reached a point of diminishing return. It is no longer an enjoyable process to intend to go to a site that is, more often than not, unavailable. I do not need that kind of angst.

I'm sitting here with a small bag of Runts (the candy), picking out the bananas, because... I don't like them. Does anyone like them? I never got the whole banana-flavored candy thing. But maybe that's just me.

Anyway, I haven't blogged in what....2-3 days? And I've really missed it. I've just been busy and distracted and ... ok, lazy.

So please don't expect anything like "Is your ex checking you out on MySpace" or "Of Blindness, Left-handed Snails, and The Long and Winding Road to Scientific Research Funding". Oh wait, I didn't write that last one...

Don't get me wrong, WritingUp was my home for a while. But since they've been having problems, I decided to come here. I almost went back last night, though. Someone here mentioned illegal traffic exchanges used by WritingUp, and wouldn't you know it, they have their logs public.

What the hell is this? This is their first page of logs.

I never bad-mouthed WritingUp, but my frustration regarding the site has forced me to leave and after hearing wonderful things about Bloggerparty.com – here I am!
My main frustration with WritingUp is that the site seems to go down a lot – and today is one of those days. How am I supposed to attract people to read my blog and earn money if the site doesn’t work?

As well, I am hoping this blogging website does not have a clique of bloggers on it that support one another and are not welcoming to new bloggers and their idea of what a blog should be. I found WritingUp did not support all of its contributors and there always seemed to be the “favorites� leaving comments, etc. on the site.

You’re probably all sick of blogs that tell you about blogging. There’s a new one every day. I will try not to make this one of those articles. However, I did speak with Admin (Brenda) about ways to improve your earnings.
Basically this is what it boils down to; You can have 900 reads for a single blog and make nothing from it. The reason for this is because the reads are coming from members and guests of bloggerparty not from clicks. However we are also getting reads from Reddit and Digg.

Do not be concerned. I come to bloggerparty in peace. I come from writingUp, a land not so far away. It is a nice place to live, though intrastructurally speaking, it breaks down quite often.

I've been intending to branch out--you know, blog around--for awhile. Truth be told, I'm just too lazy until a serious fire has been lit under my, uh...blogspot(?). The last writingUp breakdown became just that.

I started out doing this blog at WritingUp. In reading other blogs there, I discovered Blogger Party and thought it was worth trying out. It was...I've increased traffic quite a bit.

So if you want to double up (all I do is copy and poaste my posts to each site) then it could work out to your advantage. If you try WritingUp, please consider using my referral link. :)

Why is it so difficult to put links in your messages? Why no formatting help? Writingup.com and bloggerparty.com need to make this easier. Please allow us to highlight text and make it a link. Also, bold, underline, italics, and title tags. I know HTML but it's just a pain.
