Emo Generation

Teens create or join their own group with the sense of uniqueness they want to the different individuals they are. This shows that they want to separate themselves from others but having a company at the same time. That's why they want to be different "within" a peer group. Of course we remember the particular groups that evolve from time to time. From goths to punks, from rockers to melodamatic ones, there came a group which became a worldwide sensation. This group not only can be reffered to as a group but more of a generation. This generation is reffered to the EMO GENERATION.
One More Example Dumbass-ness At It's Finest And This Could Have Been Tragic
Submitted by ammorton on January 17, 2008 - 11:45am. Guns | high school | shooting | stupid | teens | ThreatsWell, just another story of teenagers and their utter stupidity with opening their mouths.
Seems as if a 15 year old high school kid out here in my small town, decided it would be a "joking" idea to post a shooting threat on his Facebook page. He stated on this page that he hated the school and was going to shoot at least 13 people here.
Teenagers in today's society
Submitted by MsCYPRAH on July 1, 2007 - 9:07am. Affection | Credit Cards for Students | Fear | parents | potential | previews | SOCIETY | student Credit Cards | teenagers | teens | upcoming filmsTeenagers in today's society have, to a great degree, the best and the worst of all worlds.
First, they are born into a society that couldn't be more revolutionary and innovative. They have all these gadgets at their disposal that their parents dreamt of and their grandparents couldn't even imagine. They have an incredible amount of information to aid their development. They also have opportunities galore to express themselves, to extend their reach, to discover their potential and to enhance their life quality. They would not be able to imagine what my world was like, 50 years ago, having to read by candles, having no phones at all, having nothing electrical and hardly any buses (we had to walk everywhere!). The mobile, the microwave, the video and Internet appear to represent an alien world I would not have believed capable of existing in my early childhood. So our youngsters couldn't be more fortunate.

Sure no biggie, it happens all the time, the media have always been trying to give Myspace a negative spin. But this one pissed me off....
Of Juliet, Split Personalities, and the Myth of Childhood
Submitted by o ceallaigh on November 15, 2006 - 2:38pm. Industrial Revolution | money | O Ceallaigh: Science Belief and Society | Romeo and Juliet | sex | teensAs regular readers of this blog have noticed, no doubt, there hasn’t been much posted here lately. It’s not like I haven’t been writing. But it’s been stuff that has a chance of paying the bills. Google AdSenseLess doesn’t qualify. Good thing I never believed in it. I blog here ‘cause I choose to, not ‘cause I expect it to pay the rent. And I chose not to write any blow-by-[hair-torn-out-in-frustration]-blow accounts of my struggles to complete the latest scientific grant proposal.
ShirtCity is a place to buy or sell
Submitted by angelface79 on November 15, 2006 - 6:39am. clothing | design | family parenting | home employment | Kids | Make Money | shirts | teenswww.shirtcity.us is an awesome website. You can actually design your own personalized shirts/accessories and use it for personal or business use.
By selling, you can start your own free shirt shop. Once you have created a shirt design that you like, you can sell it from your own website. It only takes about 10 minutes to set up. I really see this as being a good way to make some extra cash.
If You Pick Up The Phone, Are You Responsible For What Happens Next?
Submitted by Jeanne Gibson on November 1, 2006 - 11:01pm. counselor | Suicide | teens | volunteerMy granddaughter is quite a volunteerer She has tutored kids younger that herself at school; she has made quilts for small children in the women and children’s department of our local mission, and she spent time last summer doing a variety of jobs at a senior citizens center. Today I asked her if she had ever considered volunteering as a counselor on a suicide hotline.
“Never! was her emphatic reply. When I asked her why not, she said, “I could never live with myself if I ever thought I might have been the one to finally push someone over the line.
The Diva and The Drama!
Submitted by theclassy1 on August 3, 2006 - 4:03am. DRAMA | San Diego Real Estate | teensMy 13 yr old daughter, nicknamed The Diva wants to be an actress...just like her mommy! Anyway, she is a drama queen. She was on the internet and came across this acting school in California. It's one that Raven (from the Cosby Show and That's So Raven), Josh Dolley (Read it and Weep) and a bunch of other kid celebs attended. She made a whole little plan in her head and sat down-like an adult that she thinks she is-with her proposal.
Mothers Beware !!!! Kids Grow Up Too Soon.
Submitted by ms zola on July 21, 2006 - 9:22am. adults | children | growing up | parenting | teens | toddlersMy baby just had a baby. She's 19 and grown as are all of her 4 brothers are. This is a very painful time for me because I miss the activity, the chatter, the commotion. I wish they were all still toddlers because it is the best and simplest time with kids. Never mind the whining, the messes, the constant vigilance.....it was fun and if I could, I would do it all over again.
You see, kids grow up too soon.
Drug testing your kids- an invasion of their privacy?
Submitted by IntricateGirl on July 5, 2006 - 8:04am. drug testing | Kids | privacy | teensI stumbled onto a site today that offers drug testing kits for parents to use on their kids. You can find the site at http://drugtestingkits.testcountry.com
I can understand the need for this, sadly. But is it a good idea? Drug testing doesn't make up for being a good parent in the first place, and they are less likely to use drugs if they know you are paying attention. But this feels like an invasion of their privacy. Still, if I suspected my kids were using drugs, I might want something like this so that I could see if my suspicions were true.
RAISING TEENS....OR HOW THEY BURN 10,000 CELL PHONE MINUTES EACH MONTH
Submitted by ms zola on June 9, 2006 - 4:55pm. cell phones | cingular | raising kids | teensCell phones were supposed to make my life easier. Give each kid their own phone and I could stay in touch.. Right? WRONG! I am the ONLY person who can never get them on the cell phone. WHY? Because they are ALWAYS on the telepnone. How could I possibly know this?
I know this because they burn OVER 10,000 minutes a month. If I didn't have Cingular I would have to file for bankruptcy. Fortunately, the first couple of months, I was able to collect some roll over minutes....it has kept my butt off the roaster.
Bullies.
Submitted by MizzQueen on April 24, 2006 - 4:27am. Bullies | news | parents | teensOk so I was reading the yahoo news and I guess a boy killed a bully but they are arguing whether or not to charge the boy's mother because she told him to stand up to his bullys.
Personally, if that was my son coming home all the time depressed and what not about bullys i would tell him to stand up to them too. Im not saying i would want him to go and kill the bully, but I wouldnt want my son to always be in the shadows being bullied by people because then later on in life people will just walk all over him as if hes not there.
Parents- get a myspace account
Submitted by jwensink on April 23, 2006 - 6:47am. blog | chat | internet | parenting | parents | teensFor quite a while we have had a chat monitoring software on our computer since we have two teen girls in the house. We use Chat Nanny and it has been a good addition to our computer. But, just this week in the mail we received a letter from our teens' school stating that some students from the school had posted some entries on their myspace account that had a lewd or illegal connotation. So, being the nosy parent that I am, I signed up for a myspace account to see for myself.
