Hate Them Both

parties | partisanship | political

"I do not want to speak ill of a veteran. I respect what you did. But when you critize the man who saved you, it comes down to this: This man's a war hero, what did you do over there? Zero... You almost got shot, you are not a hero in this war shit, not even a hero to the party that fed you this horseshit, twisted and polluted your values, don't you remember when those soldiers almost had you? Lucky to be alive, talking about family values? There have got to be some things in life that push politics aside, you're the type to make one wonder "Why'd I save his life?" Never knew many vets that still love those that worked and didn't pay them-but they'll use you if they can, "If's he in our hand, let's play him." I'm sorry you went to war, more sorry you almost died. But I have to wonder if you were thinking about protocol when he saved your hide? That's the type of thing you think up after the brain wash. Another boy that went to war and stayed lost. I mean, if there was ever a man I would go out of my way to never criticize.... who better than the man that saved my worthless life?"

Young naive political views may cause a downfall in our country

clinton | country | debate | Democrat | downfall | McCain | Obama | political | politics | Republican

In the local events of the past several months to a year - or so it seems, I have begun to realize that people are more affected than I ever thought. The debates between political runners is down right rude and I can't see anything good coming out of this. Obama only gets young people because he has celebrities putting money in his pocket and using it as an advance for themselves in their careers. His entire "show" as a leader has been self-serving and underhanded. Asking him questions only gets run-around answers. Why won't he pledge allegiance to the United States, wear a U.S. flag, or put his hand on a Bible? Will we ever get real answers, or will it be too late before someone wakes up and really sees what is going on? I hope it doesn't get as far as the White House to find out we have an evil dictoral president. This man, well let's just say my gut doesn't trust him one bit.

Why am I doing this?

insurgence | leader | leaders | leadership | political

I forget why I started doing this
Writing this
Painting this
Like a sentence so long
That the end does not recall
A need for speaking

Any community must have
Spiritual leadership
Not denominational
Reflecting the innocence of a child
Yet aware of the manipulations of
Acquisitive self-interest.

A spiritual leader
Does not lead the life of a saint
But requires a conscience
To intuitively reject the bad

420 Bush, George W.

political

A president named 420 bush who smoked weed can't get more comedy than that. booted from military for it
and makes his way to presidencey man what a screen play for a comedy. he is friendly to the oil barrons of texas and saudi arabia holding hands with the devil so to speak while walking with god, i mean hearing god's voice. he probably still believes in santa clause too or at least hears his voice lol. the voice of god even mosses didn't even hear that but he did talk to the buring bush so the president and mosses have that in common. they both like burning weed i mean bush lol. i have more respect for mosses though he led the people in circles claiming to be lost for forty years when all he was doing was killing off the slave minded generation so he could bring a new generation into the promise land but 420 bush kills off the next generation right off in the name of "god and country" hopefully not for forty years now. isnt that why our fore fathers left the other countries to get out of opression and the ignorance there of. boomerang right back where we started from with rich blood lines of "political nobility" running the country as our children die for their corrupt greed. oh i forgot the punch line to the joke here, its us.

We should rename the United Nations

opinion | political

We should rename the United Nations. The name implies unity. With the hegemonic world we live in now and the fact that the United States bypasses international law, doesn’t it make having international law a moot point? How can the world abide by an organization and a set of global laws when the most powerful nation in the world doesn’t adhere to them? To the United States the UN is just a tool for its foreign policy.
