Phew, man! Just got back from painting the shed, and let me tell you, it was epic. Not only did I have to slice my way through the thick jungle that had grown up around the shed, I was viciously attacked by a cactus and still have the five-inch spines sticking out of the side of my face. Finally, after an hour of slicing down cactus and jungle vines, once I reached the shed I was attacked by savages that had taken up residence there. We stood quietly for a moment, facing off. They seemed stunned to learn there was anybody in the world besides them. Finally they charged forward, whirling their bolas and throwing nets. During my advance I had to dodge some quicksand pits and leap over concealed tiger traps, but I managed to dodge through their poison darts and nets to reach the ancient and rusted shed hiding in the tall grass.

If you live in an area other than the desert you need to be aware of what could happen to your very expensive project. After reading a recent blog by Guitarfix on Writingup, I wish I had waited a little longer to dispose of the guitar I tried to revamp.

The 7th grade Sunday School class I taught wanted to start a guitar band. And, guess what, they wanted me to be a part of it! Most of them already had access to a guitar they could use and, stashed around my house was a motley assortment of old guitars that could be loaned to students who needed them. We would have a ball.
