The Impact of Music Lyrics and Music Videos on Children and Youth

For more than 40 years ago music lyrics have undergone dramatic changes. This is an issue of vital interest and concern for parents and pediatricians.
Since the past four decades, rock music lyrics have become increasingly explicit-particularly with reference to sex, drugs, and violence. Recently, heavy metal and "gangsta rap" music lyrics have elicited the greatest concern. In some cases lyrics communicate potentially harmful health messages. Such lyrics are of special concern in today's environment, which poses unprecedented threats to the health and well-being of adolescents. Pregnancy, drug use, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (and other sexually transmitted diseases), injuries, homicide, and suicide have all become part of the landscape of everyday life for many American teens.

Use your iPod or MP3 player to make VoIp calls

Yes, that is correct. you can use an iPod or MP3 player to make VoIP calls.
How is this possible, you may ask?

Just keep this one fact in mind...when connected to a PC, an iPod or an MP3 player is recognized as an external drive. You can store more on the "drive" than just music or video.

We Want MP3 Files

You may have noticed this year that Santa’s bag of gifts contained lots of electronic toys, and more specifically mp3 players and iPods. Many people are now toting these electronic marvels that allow one to store an unbelievable amount of music. The question facing many of the new users is, “Where can I get a bunch of MP3 files?”

It is a valid question and many have found the answer to be the Internet. There are established music download sites on the web, such as Napster, iTunes, Yahoo, MSN, Wal-Mart and many more places. Most of these sites charge per song downloaded.

The Basics Of Podcasting

Podcasting in its simplest form is the uploading of MP3 files to the internet, where they can be accessed by the majority of the online universe with little more than a modern browser. You might consider a podcast to be an audio blog, although podcasts are basically standalone units of communication and not limited solely to “audio.” The term is also applied to short video pieces that are uploaded for general consumption; that is becoming more common, but the term was born as a reference to the audio format. Although the term stems from Apple’s iPod line of products it is generic in nature and refers to any MP3 (and increasingly, video) file provided via one Internet channel or another.

I'm In An Eric Clapton Phase

Have you ever gotten into one of those phases in your music listening life. It's like there's only one thing that will satisfy your ears. Your foot can only tap to one playlist (cd, whatever you're using these days) or maybe it's just a song.

Right now I'm in an Eric Clapton phase unplugged all the way. It started with Alberta, Alberta. Seriously I haven't been able to get that song out of my head for weeks! Luckily, I manage to listen to the other songs on the CD and enjoy them equally. So I'm not stuck in the one song rut.

Man used MP3 player to hack ATMs

A man in Manchester has been convicted of using an MP3 player to hack cash machines. Maxwell Parsons, 41, spent £200,000 of other people's money after using the machine to read card details.

Parsons plugged his MP3 player into the back of free standing cash machines and was able to use it to read data about customers' cards. That data could then be used to 'clone' cards and use them for bogus purchases.

Gmail - Online Free Mp3 Player

Yes, it true, Google Mail (known as GMail) has its own built-in mp3 player, in fact, its an audio player, which means if someone send you an audio file, for instance, a mp3 or wma file, you can view it with google Mail built-in audio player online, you do not need to open your personal audio player ever again, consuming your ram, now you have another advantage using Google Mail, the GMail.

The Improvements of the New iPod Video

The improvements of the new iPod video concern not only the dimensions, but also the battery life, the quality sound and, above all, the possibility of watching the favorite music videos and TV shows.

As regarding the exterior aspect, one may say that this may be the most handsome model of an iPod even made – a bigger display, thinner, and about 45 percent less space than the original iPod. The main idea is less space and more features and if it wasn’t the case of a human made object, you may have said that the magic is called evolution. The two models of the video iPod – 30 and 60 GB – are thinner and look very fashionable, having an attractive exterior aspect.

Free Media, Really

After falling for that line more times than I care to recall, I have found a truly free source of music, videos, and pictures. I group I belong had a posting about some new add-ons for the program the group promotes. Just go to a site I had never heard of before, search for a particular screen name, and add the files to the program.
I had no interest in the add-ons being offered, but I am ALWAYS interested in sites I have never heard of (no porn, thanks). Here was the holy grail of websites. Just create a screen name and password, and any type of download you could want was instantly available, FREE! And no requests to subscribe, no instructions to get the file from another site (which ALWAYS seems to require a subscription), nothing.

I am one of the thousands of newbie in blogging media. But slowly I am making a progress.

I begged him to give me an hour or so, which I thought would be sufficient to search the ever friendly internet, compile some information to satisfy him.

The Last Person on Earth That Doesn't Own an MP3 Player...

I am starting to think that I am the last person on the planet that still plays CDs and an occasional casette tape. Everywhere I look there is someone attached to an MP3 player, rockin out, dancin at the bus stop, walking down the grocery aisle, going for a jog, sitting in an airplane.....my God, when did I get so old! Where did these things come from and how did they pop up out of nowhere?
