I'm suffering from major "Mom Guilt" as I listen to my toddler laugh at yet another showing of the same inane Teletubbies episode as I try to get some work done. The stupid yellow one is trying to get an orange inflatable ball out of the world's smallest puddle. My daughter is "reading" a book but glances up frequently to laugh at the show.

What Happened to Me?
Submitted by ModelMom on April 7, 2008 - 7:09am. motherhood | parentingI have nothing but good intentions when it comes to keeping my few blogs alive, and then life happens and my writing stops. Argh! So frustrating. And when I say "life happens" I mean "my kids happen".

It has literally been a year since I've braved any type of a heel.
I tripped 5 times within the first hour.
Ramblings on work and motherhood
Submitted by Kinkead on October 5, 2007 - 9:48am. motherhood | parenting | workSo here I am watching the last few days of maternity leave fly by wondering to myself why did I stop liking my job? Is it because I would do anything to stay with my little boy longer? Is it because I have been there so long and there's no more room to grow? Is it because everyone that works there seems to feel as frustrated as I do..
What I learned about travelling with a 9 month old
Submitted by AnahB on September 21, 2007 - 6:13pm. baby | car trip | hints | information | motherhood | tips | travel | tricksOk, so my husband and I embarked on a journey this past week. My daughter is 9 months old, and this was our first long trip with her. We went to Cooperstown, NY, and then continued west to Niagara Falls. The following is a synopsis of the knowledge we picked up along the way!!
The Halves of Motherhood
Submitted by ModelMom on June 30, 2007 - 4:16pm. infants | motherhood | parenting | parentings | toddlers | valiumOkay, so I've decided that being a mom means only having half of everything (and more often than not, even just a quarter of said things). At the end of each day when my kids are asleep I look back at the preceding 12 or so hours and think to myself how I just can't seem to get anything done in its entirety.
And the Prodigal Blogger Has Returned....
Submitted by ModelMom on June 6, 2007 - 9:34pm. blogging | blogs | modeling | motherhood | newborns | toddlersOkay, okay, okay....I know I should feel awful about not posting on here in ages, but life has taken a turn for the absolutely crazy and I thought I wouldn't have time to write here anymore.
But because my life is crazy (and not the rockstar fun crazy that it used to be) and I really have no time or money for therapy, I have decided to tamper with the title of my blog and turn it into "Confessions of a Model Mom" and use this space as therapy....writing down the madness that swirls around in my gob always has seemed to help.....at least it's kept me from turning into a complete and blithering idiot or padded cell tenant.
I Wish I Had Morning Sickness!
Submitted by jennifermilam on May 20, 2007 - 4:54am. baby gender | motherhood | parenting | pregnancy | Prescott BushSome people wake up every morning and they take a while to get going. They have to sort of inch slowly into their day, and it is more likely that they will start off the morning in an irritable mood than in a cheerful mood. I have a sister, a husband, and many friends who do this-- however, I usually don't. I love the mornings and even if I know there is something negative to be faced in the day ahead, I always wake up feeling emotionally refreshed and hopeful, even if I am still physically tired after my usual 4-5 hours of sleep. All this could be avoided if only I could erase the presence of two little letters in my life that are more a part of me now than my initials: HG: hyperemesis gravidarum.

Being a Parent is a Special Gift
Submitted by archerzbaby on April 3, 2007 - 3:15am. fatherhood | motherhood | parenting | parents | people | runningBeing a parent
is such a wonderful thing.
It's a joy beyond compare,
a happiness no words can describe.
As you guide your child
through the problems of life,
and offer the encouragement
needed to achieve so many things,
you will need an abundance
of patience, kindness,
and understanding,
but everything you give
will be returned tenfold
in love and appreciation.

Trying to budget the money, make ends meet, and not feel stressed over bills. Its a tough gig. If only there was a way to make a little extra income without having to send the kids to daycare so i can work outside the home.
Luckily there are many opportunities to work from home, make a little extra money, and enjoy what you do. Job Opportunities for the Stay At Home Mom
Baby gifts- a sponsored post
Submitted by IntricateGirl on November 12, 2006 - 8:15am. babies | baby gifts | motherhoodSometimes I wonder if I'm the only non-pregnant blogger left. And if I'm a very lucky girl, it will stay that way. My family is done, and although I'm really fond of my kids, I don't necessarily want more.
It isn't only the bloggers that are pregnant. Another board I go to has a bunch of nursing moms. My best friend wants to get pregnant. And my niece pulled a Britney Spears and got pregnant VERY soon after giving birth. She should be having her second any day now.
No Such Thing As a Tired Boy.
Submitted by ModelMom on November 2, 2006 - 3:01pm. children | energy | family | motherhood | parenting | toddlersI am running out of good ideas to keep my son busy on rainy days. And he is not a child to sit still and watch a DVD, no matter what it is...and believe me, I never thought I would find myself praying that my kid would zone out to TV, but I do pray fervently about that lately. When one is sick and pregnant and tired and just needs a little down time......how bad could 1/2 an hour of the Wiggles really be?
