Before I get to the main post I would like to stress the one single reason that people do not make money on affiliates. Simply put it is because they do not promote them adequately if at all. I don’t think my wife’s boss has good investor relations. He owns a business, but he has family members as investors. And now they are calling the shots. The sad thing is that I don’t think they know anything about running a business. She works in an office setting with three other girls. And now the investors want him to get rid of everybody but my wife. That means she would be doing the work of four people…without a raise.

When thinking about how much money I have made from different affiliates that I have joined I am reminded of an old proverb...'you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.' In my situation, by use of the right keywords and other SEO tricks I can lead a visitor to my website or blog but no matter what, I can't make him click and if I am lucky enough to get a click out of him he may never purchase the product or service and unless it is a PPC I will not get paid.

It takes some work, but anybody can make it on ebay. Aside from listing items of interest, you need to get out into the cyber world and talk about your own listings or store.

For he average newbie making money online can be overwhelming. Theres so many affiliate programs and get rich schemes, it's enough to make your head woosie.

The only real way to make money online is to find something that you are genuinly interested in and stick with it. You have to have a passion for what you are doing...otherwise youre only setting yourself up for a heartbreak
