Sued For Insulting Islam?

Islam | Lawsuits | Religion

Last week there was a conference of Islamic leaders, and one of the topics discussed was the perceived notion that Islam is being slandered by most countries around the world that don't believe as they do.

The Koran does not condone murder, and Jihad does not mean a holy War either...

The Koran does not condone murder and Jihad is not a Holy War either...

The Koran requires respect for non-Muslims - and this means Jews and Christians too! Muslims need to read their Koran from cover to cover, not just a few selected passages taken out of context. They also need to learn what is meant by Jihad - it is not some holy war that Muslim pretenders claim. I know and I'm not a Muslim. There are a number of people within Islam who claim to be Muslim - but devout and true Muslims would never dream of becoming suicide bombers endangering the lives of men, women, the aged and infirm, children and little helpless babies. Murder has no place within Islam any more than it has a place within Christendom.

Five phrases, we should practice

Islam

The best manner to avoid having negative attitudes and emotions control our bodies is simply to practice the wisdoms that we have been given throughout the Qur'an and Hadith. We should say,

1 "Alhamdullilah" It produces calm and health to practice saying, "Alhamdulillah" for what we have

How Does One Measure Intolerance?

diversity | intolerance | Islam | Religion | tolerance

Earlier today I was reading a news story about the guy who drew the picture of Mohammad as a dog for the Swedish newspaper, and how his life has been changed forever, though he refuses to live in fear. As we all remember, when the picture showed up in the Swedish newspaper, it created a firestorm around the world by all Muslims because they supposedly have this thing which says that there can be no images drawn of their icon. Their way of handling it was to not only protest, but to put a death sentence on the head of this man.

Iran's Mistreatment Of Women

human tendencies | Iran | Islam | Mother Nature | Women

Once again, in another country, the treatment of women has been profiled and shown in a negative light. This time, as figures in my mind, it's Iran, which recently arrested, beat, and interrogated a group of women, 31 to be exact, whose only crime was peacefully standing outside the Iranian Revolutionary Court in support of some of their fellow activists.

The Best Religion On The Earth

christianity | Geraldo Rivera | Islam | Religion

Religion:

a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny; "he lost his faith but not his morality"
an institution to express belief in a divine power; "he was raised in the Baptist religion"; "a member of his own faith contradicted him"

Religion—sometimes used interchangeably with faith or belief system—is commonly defined as belief concerning the supernatural, sacred, or divine, and the moral codes, practices and institutions associated with such belief. In its broadest sense some have defined it as the sum total of answers given to explain humankind's relationship with the universe. In the course of the development of religion, it has taken a huge number of forms in various cultures and individuals

Remarks On Organized Religion, From A Liberal Blogger (by BigBadJohnny)

christianity | incest | Islam | organized religion

Inasmuch as we have an opportunity to catch our breath, politically speaking, now that the Senate and House Of Representatives have come under Democratic control, I shall take this opportunity to discuss with my readers the pros, and cons, of organized religion.
I knew that would make you happy!
I attended a dinner, presented by a Southern US Christian church and I came away uplifted.

The Pope, The Debate Still Rages, Will Violence Prevail? (by BigBadJohnny)

heaven | Islam | organized religion | pope

The debate over the Pope's remarks last week is still raging.
In a speech last week, the pontiff cited a Medieval text that characterized some of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad as "evil and inhuman," particularly "his command to spread by the sword the faith."
Iraq's parliament rejected Benedict's explanation of his remarks, saying it was insufficiently clear.

My Case against all Religions!

Anthropology | christianity | Islam | Judaism | Theology

Religion is defined as Judaism and the two cults which sprang from it, namely Islam and Christianity.

These belief systems have in their history been guilty of more crimes against humanity than all other belief systems put together.

Today they most often will retort with an illusive denial saying, “ This is not done any longer, which is another blatant lie.

When Children are born, the common denominator which underlies the development of each and every one of them is the desire to belong. We see this go from a desire to belong to the family, to a desire to belong to the fellowship of children as the playmates emerge, the desire to belong to a community, a country, etc. as one emerges into adulthood.

Part Ten: The Journey to spiritual peace and Freedom; Love.

christianity | Eternal L | Gnosis | History | Islam | Judaism | love | Religion | Theology | Theosophy | Truth

A great many people have attempted to explain love; love is called an emotion, and like jealousy and hate this is true. Love is however quite unlike either of these undesirable emotions.

Love can’t be observed through the physical sensory organs although we can see the physical manifestations when we see people who feel a great deal of love.

We smell the flowers and grasses in spring, and those pleasant odors have a lot in common with love. The naturally emitted odors from plants and trees are an integral part of them.

Part Nine: The Journey to spiritual peace and Freedom; Bliss.

Bliss | christianity | Gnosis | History | humanities | Islam | Judaism | Religion | Theology | Truth

Our native state is truly bliss; the only stumbling block in our road is the perversion of the ancient Gnostic message which was created when Emperor Constantine called the first council. The lies and deceptions which were then formulated has been the true barrier to us creating a world which is truly civilized and filled with the love each and every one of us create as our natural force.

There have been a great many leaders of the cult which followed Constantine, many of whom were great persons, and it does take great people to find goodness in the perversion of humanity. The God of the Old Testament is an evil God, (read some of my other posts which describe him).

The Journey to spiritual peace and Freedom; Part Eight: The Soul, 3.

christianity | Ete | Gnosis | History | humanities | Islam | Judaism | Religion | Theology | Theosophy | Truth

In our final analyzes we see the “Soul is that which we really are; it is what worries about what happens to us after the body dies. The Soul is that part of us which can tell right from wrong, it is what rejoices when we witness happy children at play and cringes when we see injustice and cruelty.

The Soul is that part of us which assumes responsibility for crimes committed by others; we often witness people who clamor about the evil of man and cite an example of some criminal. That person is proving how good he or she is for by employing that example the person takes responsibility for things which happened apart from them in time and space.

The Journey to spiritual peace and Freedom; Part Seven: The Soul, 2.

christianity | Ete | Gnosis | History | humanities | Islam | Judaism | Religion | Theology | Theosophy | Truth

Understanding the “soul means we have to understand what the soul is and what we really are. People inherently know the difference between rights and wrong, what at times get altered is the definitions, children are subject to the definitions given them in the environment in which they are reared.
The earliest culture I have been able to study was the Sumerian, and their laws were on par with modern thought. The laws of Hammurabi which came later seemed polluted with deity worship. Ancient law saw the difference between animals and humans as the ability to tell right from wrong; the human who could not tell right from wrong was an animal!

Part Six: The Journey to spiritual peace and Freedom; The Soul.

christianity | Ete | Gnosis | History | humanities | Islam | Judaism | Religion | Theology | Theosophy | Truth

The only problem we ever truly face, and which I am sure you will agree with this, is the death of the Soul. The Soul dies when it is made a part of the physical universe. When authorities professing great wisdom proclaim it is the brain which thinks when they state a part of the physical universe which has evolved by chance is what we are, the Soul dies. No part of the physical universe can think.
