April Fools’ Day or All Fools’ Day although not a holiday in its own right, is a notable day celebrated in many countries on April 1. The day is marked by the commission of hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends, family members, enemies and neighbors, or sending them on fools’ errands, the aim of which is to embarrass the gullible. Traditionally, in some countries, the jokes only last until noon. If you play a trick on someone after this time you are the April Fool. Elsewhere, for example in France, the jokes may last all day (Wikipedia). We want to thank Alex Boese for making a good collection of the most famous world-wide hoaxes, which we’ll use as a starting poin for this Rating List generation. The rapper Yung Berg was arrested on Saturday morning in New York City after police went to investigate a complaint that was made by a limo driver about a dispute with five passengers. After police investigated the complaint, they busted Yung Berg and some of his friends on many charges. Yung Berg was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of marijuana, and menacing.

You find out who your real friends are when you are down and out. I write for living and never use people's real names and one short blog came back to bite me unexpectedly. I have a blog called Dragonlady Speaks and one of my neighbors discovered it and went into a rage over a story about a man in a midlife crisis who self destructs. His wife tries to commit suicide so he dumps her for a woman 13 years her junior, he turns on his adult children and his closest friends.

Tried to post this late last night, but lost it in the process, sooo…

Today was one of those days that you want to slink back under the covers the minute your first big toe touches the cold, hard floor. On a normal day, I wake up to a call from Ryan. He works nights as a cop and dutifully calls me at 6:15 am to report on his night of fighting crime all over town. It is very sweet of him, really. He knows I have a difficult time waking up and can usually talk me out of my fog in only a few minutes. The next call of the morning comes with warmth and smiles from Mr. Big around 7:30 am, when we are each in our cars en route to work. (No, we do not work together.) By the time I get to work, I am usually awake, in a fairly good mood and ready to get started. This morning, however, things were different. When I awoke to my alarm clock instead of Ryan’s ring tone, I remembered - there would be no calls from Ryan or Big today. They each had the day off… how dare they! :)

Me - I am a 34 year old single female. I am a medical professional. I have worked long and hard to get to where I am in my career, but I want more. I want family - a husband, children... The other night an old Christmas special of SNL was aired. When Adam Sandler appeared to sing the Hanukkah Song, Nella perked up and happily watched him sing. It’s always been a favorite of mine, and the part “OJ Simpson ~ NOT a Jew!”, is the best part in my opinion! And, at this juncture I felt the need to sing along. When she heard “a Jew” she first yelled out “Bless you!” and then amused the hell out of herself by pretending to sneeze over and over again! It was funny and I couldn’t help but to go along with it! Even when I tried to explain to her that I’d not said “achoo” she just kept sneezing and laughing more! I think I laughed so hard at her clever joke that the morning’s coffee still found it’s way out of my nose!
