Job Interview – A Free Guide on Things You Should Never Say

Submitted by IntricateGirl on September 17, 2007 - 5:57pm. Edinburgh | employment | jobs in Edinburgh | work*This WAS a sponsored post.
I wrote about how I almost moved to the UK, and how it would be for a job. This was a sponsored post, but it keeps getting turned down. But I can't tell why, and it's not like the advertising company can be bothered to tell me. So, this is a freebie, without the links. Tell me what's missing and I'll give some serious consideration to whether it's worth it. Frankly though, I think I've already passed that point.

Will work for food
Submitted by angelface79 on April 19, 2007 - 10:01am. dating | employment | Finances | jobs | making money | Morgan Stanley | motivation | relationshipsHave you ever drove down the road, and saw a person standing there with the sign that says "Will work for food"?
I see this all the time.
As a single woman, I encounter a form of this a lot in the dating world. There are a lot of people in this world that are just content to get by. They have zero motivation, and no desire to even work. This is a really unattractive trait.
As a single mom of 2 children, I really have to work hard to make the bills and try to provide a life for us. The last thing I am looking for is someone that does not want to work or has a billion excuses as to why they can't get a job.
INQUEST'S FIRST BAD DAY AT WORK
Submitted by Inquest of a Woman on April 18, 2007 - 5:19pm. Bad day | employment | Wedding PlanningI know I've been scarce, and you all have been tolerant of my absence because you know I am settling into my new job. Perhaps you may be wondering how it's going?
There are some good things. I am, as you predicted, learning. There is a lot to acquire; a great deal of information is crammed into my head on a daily basis. But at least I am beginning to internalize some of the details. I have accordingly enjoyed a few successes--small but significant to me, nonetheless. These show me that I am actually getting somewhere. I am making progress, which is always encouraging.
INQUEST'S FIRST DAY AT WORK
Submitted by Inquest of a Woman on April 12, 2007 - 4:44pm. employment | europeMy friends, you know how long I have yearned for gainful employment. But while I am glad to have it, I must confess that, on this my first day, there were a few distressing factors.
For one thing, my Father has yet to fix the third vehicle for my usage. As it yet remains in the garage, in its current disrepair, I am obliged to walk a pilgrimage to the bus stop in shivering northern air--indeed, the kind that makes the teeth chatter and the hands freeze motionless like stone. Then I must wait for the bloody bus, which in this area, moves slower than the GoodYear Blimp, and then sit within it, crushed amongst human cargo, as it crawls its way into the city, through devilish traffic. Then of course I must come off the bus, in the howling wind, and transfer to another, tolerating much the same misery above described.

Gold has been a source of wealth for a long, long time. And it's not only gold that can make a sound investment. You may already have gold, but you are looking for something else. Silver and precious metal investments are on the rise. Investment experts recommend that at least 10 - 20% of your assets be tangible assests. Some examples of this would be gold, silver and platinum bullion and bullion coins.
Jobless India at 2081 AD?
Submitted by drawat123 on November 16, 2006 - 10:47pm. employmentAs population of any state increase so as more and more manpower is available for that particular state or country. But in India this simple rule is going against.
In this ancient land of world according to 1991 census the population of this land was approx.82crores. The main work force among population was 34.118%.
This simply means that one Indian was working for three others non-active persons. In contrast to this statistics as per census of 2001 total population of India was 1027015247.out of this only 30.49% were main workers.
Looking for a New Job?
Submitted by writingdreams on July 6, 2006 - 9:23am. employment | jobs | unemploymentWithin the next two years we'll be looking at changing jobs, which means the hubby will have to start applying to different sites. I'd love to know he has a job before he gets out of the military.
I found a new site that helps in doing this, and hey you may even be able to find a job for yourself as well. The site in question is http://aNewJob.com.
Sign up is quick and free and you don't even have to do one of those confirmation emails, which I love. I just hate signing up and then having to check email to hit the link to go back to the page I was just at. Don't you?

They said they want to pursue employment with me, and they will make me an official offer after my background test is complete and my references check out. woot! :)
So I gave 2 weeks notice at my other job today. They were very understanding. I just have to get a reference form filled out by the board of education where I used to substitute teach. I will do that on monday before work.

Submitted by Nancy J on March 25, 2006 - 5:10am. employment | Work at home jobsWow! I have had a crash course in sorting through the Work At Home maze. It is torturous, mind-boggling, and leaves one almost numb with the hugeness of it all. In just a couple weeks, I checked out literally hundreds of web sites, some obviously illegal scams, some potential money makers, but all promising that if you are willing to put some effort in it, there is money to be made out there in computerland.
