How to avoid problems with dieting.

When I think or discuss questions of dieting for weight loss, I have a feeling that a lot of information sometimes causes a lot of problems.
Take for example the information that if you are overweight and you lose the weight through diet or exercise, whatever, you will most likely gain it back eventually, plus a little extra.

Eat less without dieting!

Eating protein---which low-fat jerky is packed with---triggers the release of anti-hunger hormones that research proves can help you eat an impressive 30% less at meals---and the effect lasts 24 hours, a brand-new British study reveals.

Toddler Wrangling

You know how women's magazines have articles that show you how many calories normal things you do every day burn? Like, pulling weeds for 1 hour equals 200 calories, dusting for 30 minutes 100 calories, and so on?* I think someone needs to analyze how many calories "toddler wrangling" burns. I took a trip to Target today that should have earned me the right to stuff myself with a cheeseburger and fries!

How I Lost 13 Pounds in 12 Days Without Weight Loss Pills or Exercising

I learned about this diet on the Internet. Said to be the diet widely used by Soviet actors when they needed to quickly lose weight before filming, it appealed to me by its simplicity. There were no special meals to cook, no complicated schedule. Except for being limited to one particular type of food on a given day, there were no restrictions: I could eat as often and as much as I wanted. "I can do that!" I thought. And so I did.

Finally, the answer to my problem!

I have been struggling with my weight for pretty much my entire life. When I am lucky, I lose the weight without a problem, and it stays off for about a year or so. Then it slowly comes back.

My husband complains that I eat like a bird, barely touching food, so overeating isn't the problem. I was at my lowest when I got pregnant with Angel Baby. I did really great about not gaining too much until I was put on bedrest at around 30 weeks. Then I gained 60 pounds.

ANNA NICHOLE SMITH - THE DEATH OF ANOTHER BLONDE BOOBSHELL

Anna Nichole Smith made the comment in her youth that she would be the next Marilyn Monroe - with her untimely death on wendsday her predictions are ringing true.

Another hollyweird rollercoaster life ends in apperent mystery - and I use this term loosely because I'm predicting it will be a "drug interaction" 5 months after the "mysterious" death of her 22yr old son.

Now begins the parasitic scramble by lawyers, exhusbands/boyfreinds, and the government to get a peice of whats left, and the only one who will suffer the outcome will be a 5 month old baby girl who has no comprehention of whats going on and will be left to slip through the cracks of a system that will let her down.

Diet Hype/The Myth

The cold hard facts can be painfull. After seeing commercial after commercial for weight loss products & programs I needed to vent my frustration. Its time to face the truth. The bottom line for those of us battleing to lose weight is this, all the weight loss products and gimmicks in the world wont help you lose weight if you dont have the willpower. I've seen the cheater - heard the excuse's - and spent the enormous amount of money time after time to shed the pounds and the only thing that worked was shear willpower and smart dieting & exercise - NO EXCUSE! NO CHEATING! Cook your meals - walk 20 to 30 minutes a day - SENSABLE snacks inbetween - and stop the rewarding yourself with a big mac treat!! I Know this works, I've gone from 245lbs to 160lbs in 14 months - with energy and stamina that I have'nt felt since I was a teen.I came to realize that I will never be a super model - not even with plastic surgery - and I'm happy with that! I stick to my routine and am now able to BURN off that extra treat much easier because I have the willpower.

Growing Up Fat: Forced to Diet

I’ve written before about “growing up fat and establishing particular eating habits, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg when you talk about childhood obesity.

One of the things that bothered me the most about being heavy when I was a kid was that my mom and my grandmother were constantly looking for “programs to help me lose weight. They bought special food, ordered away for things off of TV, enrolled me in programs, and even sent me to a clinic 200 miles away from home when I was in middle school.

Should Companies be Allowed to Sell "Scam Products"?

Have you ever watched late night television and seen those infomercials that sell diet products? Pills, drinks, powders, etc? These companies knowingly sell dangerous products that are NOT approved by the FDA. Many times they flash a quick disclaimer at the bottom of the screen or the disclaimer will be posted but it is much to small to read.
These "scam compaines" prey on innocent people looking to lose weight, improve their love life, and so on. Many of the people who purchase these products are not aware of the blured disclaimer.

I ATE "Chlish", and HATED it!

So I was straving today and decided to get some fast food. I stopped at Long John Silvers – its like a Chicken Shack but it has fish and shrimp too. Supposedly they specialize in fish, hence the name “Long John Silvers. I ordered a number 12 or something, it had 3 pieces of chicken called “Chicken Planks and three pieces of fish. When I was at home eating it I realized that the fish and the chicken taste the exact same way. In fact, I am totally convinced that they are the exact same thing. It’s like “Chish or maybe “Ficken – a combination of the two. This is rather disturbing because I like to dip my fish in tarter sauce but I feel slightly odd dipping my chicken. Actually, the thought of chicken and tarter kinda grosses me out. So I spent several minutes trying to figure out which was which. Ultimately, I could not come to a conclusion. But in the meantime I had all these thoughts –
